Cam Clear Arrested (merged)

Wasn't it the UTPD, not KPD, that actually arrested him? Obviously not true fans.

Clear was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, not Theft, so the door is open to getting the charges reduced to a misdemeanor or even dismissed with diversion. Happens all the time and will probably happen with the three Arky players also indefinitely suspended for sticky fingers. I'll bet at least one or two of them will be back.

If they have Clear on video stealing the laptop, he's probably gone. No video, reduced or dropped charges, and Dooley may give him one more chance. But it sounds like the kid (allegedly) needs help. Hope he gets it.

What if it was multiple laptops? and Ipod(s) and Ipad(s) and Wide Screen TV(s) And CASH ? And what if it was from his team mates, room mates, and adjacent dorm mates? What if? ........... Ask around.

The people who need and deserve help are the victims who were robbed. As of now, they are living in the same dorm a few doors away from somebody that was turned loose out of jail for possessing one of the items stolen from them. Will they get their property back? Will they be protected from more crimes?

Lol, he didn't physically abuse them or murder someone. I think they are safe.

Coincidental the news reports said "Police are investigating a string of burglaries"

I don't know what you find funny about this, but it is not me feeling that they need "witness protection or something." That is NOT what I said. I have never heard of a burglary victim saying how fine things were after being robbed. Why does anyone come on this board voicing support for criminals and not their victims?

"If your home is burgled, the financial losses you'll sustain are bad enough. The trauma and unease in its aftermath, however, is a bell that can't be un-rung, and many burglary victims never again feel safe in their own homes."

Any chance that the reason he's (apparently) kicked off is because supposedly he did this before, and CDD made him agree to walk the straight and narrow if UT took him, and it didn't happen?

It's not how much something is worth; it's that he steals when he doesn't have to, and he's been accused of it before.

If there's some sort of believable explanation that clears him (har, har, "clears"), then fine. Otherwise, it looks like he has a problem, and it's a problem that we don't need on the team. Hope he gets things straightened out.

I'm laughing cause you feel the victims need witness protection or something.

They will be fine, things will be handled and life will go on.

My car got broken into twice in high-school; stereo stolen both times. To this day I can't listen to the smooth, sultry stylings of Matchbox 20, without weeping hysterically. They were very popular at the time.

Don't lie, Rob Thomas tugs your heart strings.

Sarcasm and context are very important. Jonathan Swift would have tons of fun on this site.

There's a big difference between burglary and theft. I haven't heard anything indicating breaking and entering was going on.

My ATLiens CD was still in the head-unit the second time. That really tugged at my heart strings. How is a white boy from the 'burbs supposed to bump some rap in the school parking lot when a bunch of thugs stole his Outkast?

If anyone ever stole my cotton mouth kings cd I think I'd roll over and die.

Thankfully the rest of the dungeon family was there to console me. Damn, I may have to go buy some old music tonight. In high school we would have rolled down to Tower. Tonight I'll just take my ipad into the crapper.

I can't believe you could even listen to an Ipod after the tragic loss of CD's years ago.

I had stuff stolen from my dorm in college as well. Know what I did? I said, "damn. Someone stole my stuff."
Enough of the drama.

Most state statutes define burglary more or less as follows: "burglary n. the crime of breaking and entering into a structure for the purpose of committing a crime. No great force is needed (pushing open a door or slipping through an open window is sufficient) if the entry is unauthorized."

burglary legal definition of burglary. burglary synonyms by the Free Online Law Dictionary.

Only a "criminal" when convicted of a crime. Is he guilty, at fault, solely responsible, I don't know.
If the law recants, and he is never punished by the court, then the only people who should have a say in if he stays are the players. Not Dooley or the university, just the players. If they can forgive him and make a mends, then suffice to say that speaks volumes about how they feel towards him(or they want to win that bad which I'll accept- not meaning it's right- but I like the desire). They spend the most time with him and know him better than anyone.
If they want him then I want him to stay. If they don't, then sorry Cam you have to go.
