I never said he shouldn't face some kind of punishment, but to completely kick him out of the University is crazy. When the players that held up those people at the gas station, they needed to go. That kind of behavior is unacceptable. But taking a laptop?

Oh I have common sense, I just don't have a bleeding heart for the poor, down trodden, misunderstood, underprivileged, student athlete with the potential to make zillions of $$, going to school for FREE while I PAY the way for my two to go to school at the same University. I guess if your definition of common sense is the 2nd part of my statement, I will remain uncommon. I hope he is shown to not have actually stolen the lap top, however, what your lack of common sense is withholding from you is if he is guilty, CDD won't have a thing to do with him being dismissed. It will be University policy that will get him. This is basically out of CDD's hands at the moment. Good try on JJ though. Please check, Nuke and Edwards were dismissed from the UNIVERSITY and the team. The film showed JJ basically trying to stop it. Although using your common sense, since he was with them trying to get them to leave and not be more stupid than they were being, he should have been dismissed too. Course, I guess you could extrapolate from that that the WHOLE team should be dismissed because they didn't go further keeping Cam from being stupid a SECOND time.

You really need to take a look at your bleeding heart and ask if you want your kids to be hanging out with someone like Cam.....I for one wouldn't want mine close to him if he is proven guilty.

Really? So theft from a fellow student is somehow different than theft from a co-worker? Is this an example of YOUR common sense, because if it is, PLEASE keep it to yourself. Once again, I am not implicating Cam in anything, I am just asking your stance on theft. I would think that theft from a fellow student, especially one that has access to a freaking bat, would be much worse and have way more consequences than theft from a co-worker. The co-worker gets you fired, the fellow student may get you pounded.

The man is an inspiration for crime victims everywhere, so why isn't his book in the self-help section getting more play, "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Thieves." Like the insouciant opening line in the introduction, "If you're not happy like me when you get robbed, you're just not cool." Should the AD's public relations hire this guy? His post is so pregnant with torchbearer slogans. How about, "Come to Tennessee. We're criminal friendly." Or this, "Come to Tennessee, where burglary is good neighbor policy." The man could get more creative still, "You got no crime stories to tell at cocktail parties? Consider sending your son or daughter to the University of Tennessee. See the Crime Victim promotion in our brochure, and watch our criminals on ESPN!"

As if it was ok to rob those students as long as he did not kill them. Your attitude personifies criminal. Burglaries involve victims whose lives are damaged, and all burgalries entail the possibility of a personal encounter, in which anything could happen.
