I think it all depends on if this is new or what Dooley has known for the last few weeks. It looks bad , no way around it. But I'm not sure he will get kicked off the team. I'm sure Dooley will catch hell from every media member , but what else is new? He will either convince us that he is going to help Cam change , or he will boot him. I read that he made an apology to the team and said he would return or replace the items. If that wasn't good enough and a teammate's parent went to the police , so be it. Hubbs said it was something new , deerpark said he heard different. Truth is we don't know yet. What he did was wrong , so don't think I'm taking up for his actions. I agree with AJeray. I don't really understand what the hell he was thinking. It's really a lose/lose situation football wise. I guess if I'm making the decision , I do the right thing and boot him if it's something new. The thing is who can Dooley afford to lose? I'm so sick of this happening every off-season. It's always a good player or a player of need. My gut feeling is he is gone and I hate it. I don't get paid to make these decisions though.

OK, final update on this. Nothing to do with a previous alleged theft, although this could bring those allegations back to life. Cam Clear's arrest was on a new charge, on a laptop reported stolen last week from Gibbs Hall by a student-athlete in a sport other than football.

He was caught with the laptop in his hands on Tuesday after he used it to access the campus network. Since the laptop was registered with OIT at UT, a notice popped up because it had been reported as stolen. OIT called it in, UTPD responded to the area where the computer was logged on to the campus wireless network, and he was arrested with the computer in his hands.

As much as I hate it , he's done. If he stood up and said he was sorry , only to do it again , that's it. What other choice does CDD have. Suspend him for awhile? I don't think that is possible. Sounds like he already got his second chance. :no:

So it's a group of them. I guess that explains the stuff getting stolen during practice.

This isn't the type of person that needs to be here. Hope he is gone soon. No need for a person like this to be a part of the team.

I just looked at that post again. I think I read it wrong. It looks like he meant reported by. If I'm wrong (which I probably am) my mistake. It's late. Need sleepy.

Still dunno the facts. He could have been using a laptop he borrowed from a fellow student. He had to know it woulda showed up stolen had he known it was a stolen laptop. He cant be that crazy. He coulda been set up deliberately. WE JUST DONT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. Ease up till its settled geez.

We know enough that there's one plausible story and several ad hoc ones. Like him being deliberately set up. Ockham's Razor

Geraldo Orta pretty much confirmed on his twitter that he stole it.
