don't know if it would or not...my guess is that they would have to name an interim HC which would probably come from existing staff because supposedly Hart won't be allowed to do anything....waiting on new chancellor, AD, etc...so what do y'all think Shoop to interim HC?

Duh......when they are winning there isn't a reason to be unhappy....when you are losing to terrible scrub teams they absolutely act pissed off....

That's UTs fault. Boosters, President, AD, Chancellor has all been an embarrassment for 10 yrs. Fans need to hold their $ tightly and don't give it to this mediocre bunch imo

As much as I want this to be true I would hate this due to the timing. This would not bode well with no AD in place to make a competent hire.

If true you can almost guarantee a cheap hire as next coach.

I think this might be the best move that can be made at this point. The real problem with it is that Shoop is basically stuck with the coaches under contract, because it will be very hard to attract any coaches from outside the program for what very possibly could be a one and done.

Butch Jones was in the office all day but heads out tomorrow to see Trey Smith in what will be a pivotal visit. We still don't know where Smith is leaning at this point so that makes this weekend all the more important.

Let me ask you a question: If this is true and Butch has informed recruits and players and members of the university that he is leaving on his own, why just 12 minutes before you started this thread did you post in the "Just lost 3 commits" thread that Butch should be fired? If he is leaving on his own terms and you know for a fact that he has already informed the university of this, why would there be a need to fire him?

Shoop did so well this year, he really deserves a shot at being a head coach. I think we were pretty close to having a top 100 defense this season. Pay this man!
