I will disagree on Fulmer's teams struggling against today's SEC. Fulmer's talent in the '90s would rate right there with what Saban has had. We were constantly having guys drafted in the 1st round and at one time had more NFL players than anybody. To say Fulmer underachieved with the talent he had would be an understatement. He should have had more SEC championships And at least played for a few more NC. But when it comes down to pure talent those '90s Fulmer teams could play with anybody and would win the majority of the games.

It's archived on utsports.com. You don't have to go to Calhoun's. I think that it was about 15 minutes into the program.

It's not SDS taking anything out, they simply posted a tweet from Dopirak. Blame the UT beat writer if you want to blame someone. It's not click bait; if someone didn't hear it and simply saw a quote from a "professional" who was there then it's taking it at face value. If I had to compare fulmer to a coach in the sec today it would have to be les miles. Both had/has a lot of talent and everybody thinks they should've done more with it

why do you think he said someone told him that? why do you think he found that important to note, if not to essentially say, "hey guys..sometimes this stuff takes longer than you think it should"? I mean, he didn't mention the guy who said he should win an sec title yr 3 did he?

It is like an interviewer saying, "some people have said..." to make a point the interviewer wants to make

Build a program... Not a team. I think he's right. Building and elite program and an elite team are two different things. Programs are more than one team. Teams can be elite for a year programs can be elite for decades. You all look way too much into this stuff.

ok...the word is parse, but answer this question for me...why do you think he mentioned what a guy told him about 6-7 yrs? In the real world, for proper context, if you could.
