Butch feels underappreciated.

Half of you guys wanted Charlie Strong and another portion wanted Lovie. Just log off and buy some crimson. There are only 2-3 coaches that would ever please you.

I will admit that I wanted Strong.
I also have no idea what I'd do as AD now.
Clearly I shouldn't be allowed to pick the coaches based on how Strong is doing at Texas

There are very few people who can coach as well as Saban. 1 is probably in Michigan and 1 is in Seattle. Ed O is calling a decent game right now, but his athletes are dang near up to par with Alabamas.

I'm just hoping he can pull a Tom Osborne and get better as he goes along.

Yeah that vaunted Tennessee tech team that plays in the FCS...

Way to show us, Butch!

Exactly....Tech was one notch above my sons HS team. They are not a barometer for progress. We, for once, did what we were supposed to do against an inferior opponent.

I agreed with his sentiment and I hope you were one he was addressing.

It was TN Tech they were playing and not the Gators. Why go for it and rub their noses in it? Other than showing a lack of class there's no reason to do it.

What he said has nothing to do with feeling under appreciated. It simply addresses what many of us know..... there's a bunch of dumbasses that pull for the Vols.

Your second paragraph there.....evidently Butch didn't have a problem with "rubbing their noses in it". Here's his quote about his "outburst" in his postgame presser....

"Jones said he was frustrated that his team had to settle for
a field goal and didn’t get off another play to try to score a touchdown."

You proved his point. Honestly, read this post of yours I'm quoting here...go on, read it.

You don't think it's silly?

So he did good. Just hard to say, right?

I think I did when I said that, for once, we did what we're supposed to do to a vastly inferior team. The difference is I don't see that it's indicative of anything more meaningful than that. Minimum expectations have been met...yes.

Fair enough.

That'll change when our idiot administration rewards backing into Atlanta and getting annihilated by Bama again with a lifetime contract.

He was deflecting as he knew he couldn't admit that he said what he said and that it was directed towards the fans.

I live in constant fear of the brain trust getting ahold of the checkbook and putting something that monumentally stupid in motion.
