Not kicking the field goal would have been classless and a clear "trying to run up the score" move. No-one would say oh well it was 2nd string QB so its ok to pile on the points possibly. Dormady had the whole 2nd half for experience. No coach ever in that situation up 35-0 is going for the touchdown.

Yes we threw the ball down the field so Dormady could have valuable two minute drill experience, potentially getting 6 like you desperately want up 35-0, but not jamming it in their face when we don't have to, we are better than that. Glad we saw him make a drive, but for the situation going for 6 would be completely classless, you just don't do it.

When you are in the middle of a 3-game losing streak, including a loss to a very mediocre SC team,

and then you throw in the whole Hurd debacle,

it is not the time be dropping any hints about being underappreciated.

However, I think he is starting to set up the excuses as to why he is leaving when the season ends. It would not surprise me at all if his agent is already talking to a team like Purdue through back channels.

It is only a story if the media and all those that want to find something to complain about with a 55-0 win make it about the boos.

I suspect any comment was really directed at those he was talking to on the headset.

That wouldn't surprise me either they way some in the local media have treated him, and this won't be a good thing for UT.

How do you fiqure? How would the buyout work then? Then UT is left in a bad position as far as recruiting goes but placing Shoop in interim HC position would salvage that. All in all, I don't think he feels that way. This is the SEC and we aren't meeting expectations but are dealing with way too many injuries. It'll go away and he doesn't get another pay raise or extension until we hire a new AD. As one poster stated, " some fans feel under appreciated also."

His contract rewards both him and coaching staff for post season accomplishments. No new raises or extensions under Hart or you'll really see the fans light-up!

Just a baseless opinion. We lost to a crap South Carolina team and were playing a FCS team and still filled one of the largest stadiums in the country. I'm sure he and the players know that we appreciate them.

I don't buy it either. A lot of nonsense being interjected into the fan base from various sources with the intent to cause disharmony. Most can see good steps being taken in the right direction. Injuries could account for the fact that the changes aren't happening fast enough and there's definitely some tweaking to be done about our offensive playcalling and scheme. Above all CBJ references building a strong foundation built to last and if he's gonna coach in the SEC fan criticism comes with the territory. Just the way it is. GO VOLS....BEAT UK!!!:rock:

This kinda seems like the Counzo Martin situation we had a few years ago...It would not shock me if Butch takes off to Michigan St or something similar in the near future....He is demanding praise that is not deserved and the fans are letting him know about it.

So when did Jimmy Hyams become CBJ's official spokes person? Has anyone heard Butch Jones say he is under appreciated? What I heard him say was "I know our fans are impatient but no ones more impatient than me to see the team where we want them to be." Seems pretty off base to flame Jones for something Hyams said.
