Butch feels underappreciated.

I appreciate Butch. He took a depleted roster and recruited his tail off to restock. His coaching has improved since his first year. The wins have improved every year (I'm expecting the same this year).

He has done nothing but make UT better so far.

Is he a Saban or a Meyer? No, but hopefully he can be one day. Surely every fan feels that way.

I wouldn't blame him a bit if he did, come into a dumpster fire work your tail off and do nothing but good things across the board from academics to discipline and on field improvements each year and still have this fan base complaining and fussing cause your not doing it on their terms and timeline being ungrateful and downright embarrassing and feeling entitled...... yea I wouldn't blame him at all.

If any of y'all ( and you know who you are) could do a better job then you'd be in the coaching profession and not a fan (and I use that loosely) on this message board!!

Out of utter frustration, I'd gladly let him go right now. He's shown that he isn't ready to run a big time program.

Too many times he's let his team come out flat. EVERY game this year, except this past weeks scrimmage vs. Tech.

Mistakes, turnovers, sloppy overall play. The drama in the locker room, whether it's on Hurd or not, is reflective of Butch.

I'm going to submit this and read the rest of your question, so I'll edit and add more.

I'd let Hart be done asap and hire the new AD immediately. Then I'd make the change at head coach.

No, as dumb as my remarks are sometimes, I wouldn't let Hart even think about hiring the new coach. I'd let Hart fire Butch, then call Hart in the office and tell him to catch the flight outta town with Butch.

So, am I complaining just to complain? Maybe.

I refuse to pretend that Butch even looks like he's the man. The hiring and firing of all the coaches. The hiring of a completely out of touch OC. The constant spread offense with a big back(Hurd) when Kamara and Kelly sat. That is a red flag. Either he should've split more carries or adjusted his offense for the GUY THEY BROUGHT IN.

It's all evidence that Butch has no clue how big boy football is run.

I refuse to root for Butch. But if Tennessee makes it to Atlanta after this pitiful stretch, I'll be happy.

They have won in spite of Butch all season, so I can still root for Tennessee to win while not caring for the head coach.

There are plenty of other teams with different coaches you can choose from!! If ya don't like it here GET OUT AND STOP *****ING AND MAKING THE REST OF US LOOK LIKE IDIOTS!!!!

And for the love of god stop calling yourselves fans if you "refuse" to support the coaches cause believe it or not he is part of the team!!

I tend to see things how they are as opposed to how I think they should be. Reality is with the AD situation CBJ is not in trouble till at least the end of 17.
-CBJ has improved as a coach. He's nowhere near where he needs to be to win championships but he's better on game days than when he got here.
-CBJ has mishandled the locker room situation this year but has shown an ability to learn from mistakes so there's reason to believe he'll do better in the future.

I can't decide if the CBJ learning curve will be fast enough to prevent his being fired. The AD situation has me a slight lean that he will be here for + 5 years. But that's only a slight lean. I believe he gets another year no matter what but another loss puts him on the hot seat next year
