I'm a little surprised BB is even considering KSU... talk about demoting yourself and risking your NFL future. He won't get anywhere near the same level coaching, competition, or exposure at KSU as he would at UT... although Snyder's return probably has the most to do with the decision. They guy has legend status in Kansas, and the field is even named after him.
Still, after years like this,
2009 - 6-6
2008 - 5-7
2007 - 5-7
2006 - 7-6
2005 - 5-6
2004 - 4-7
he's got a serious rebuilding effort in front of him; and he's no young buck at 70. His return probably does impress the Brown brothers, though; as they would have grown up during his legendary years in Kansas when he was being called a genius. In fact, if he hadn't retired, both of those boys probably would have ended up there in the first place.
All that said, one thing that surprises me is how all these folks suddenly seem to think BB isn't all that great, and losing him wouldn't amount to much of a loss. Most of these same folks droned on and on about him being the best player in his class, despite not being from a very competitive high school conference, division, or state. According to most Vols and Vol sites, he was the greatest thing since sliced Colonial. Now, he's expendable? Will the opinions change again if he stays?
