Bryce Brown Gone

i dont hope him the best i hope he never plays again and aftwr he sits out a year he will have to battle for pt and he may start his senior year, and honestly the things i have heard about pooke and the other backs we have im not sure he would even start if he stayed so good ridance

My goodness man really?

FTR, there were a lot of people on here that have been saying he is over-rated for some time.

I disagreed with them then and disagree with them now.

There is plenty of good RB on this team. Also Poole has never really got a good shot and I believe he is SEC caliber. If BB wants to leave, I'm not going to talk bad about him for wanting to go home. It's real hard for a 18 year old kid to leave home. There is always attrition when there is a new coach come in.

Brown had a good run against UGA. That was an SEC run.

He had couple good runs against WKU, one resulting in an injury and the other he got chewed out because he decided to run out of bounds instead of score a TD. He ran like that consistently last year.

Family is a big draw for Bryce, if he leaves to go home and play around his family, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. It sucks seeing him leave, if this is a permanent thing, but this is still Tennessee and we have a good backfield. So, please don't make this anything bigger than it really is at this point. Just wish the young man well, and move on.

Good thing he didnt sign up for the Military

he wasn't scoring on that play. Why just make stuff up?

Please stop with the Dooley bashing, sky is falling, end of the world posts. That's all I've got to say. Anyone that knows anything about college football should understand that these things happen all the time when new coaching staffs come in. I've seen a lot of you all do nothing but whine since Dooley's been here. Let's try this.. How about we all just quit worrying about not having a commit yet in MARCH and just give Dooley time to get things settled in. I might get crucified for saying this, but I don't care. Seems like a lot of you all secretly still love Kiffin considering how much you all compare Dooley to him. All I'm asking is for everyone to give the man a freaking chance.

This. Well said. BB is a fine young man and I wish him nothing but the absolute best--whatever decision he ends up making.

People forget that he was injured in the preseason and played hurt all year. I was at alot of the practices last season, BB when healthy is every bit as good as Hardesty and that was as a freshman. If you think this isn't a big loss then you need to have your head examined.

I agree. You can't just say a player sucks because he leaves your team.
I have never said he "sucked" but there was certainly nothing great about what he showed last year. It may have been him making the adjustment. It may have been injuries. But I have consistently said the same things about him.

If he was still at UT we would all be saying he was awesome and going to be doing great things this year.
No. We really wouldn't. I've been blasted but have consistently said that from what I'd seen Poole was a better RB than Brown.

If my running back can't beat a corner and score a TD, then I don't want him. Especially with on the talent level of WKU. Easily could of been a TD, why do you think the coaches *****ed at him so much?

He had a nagging injury and it was his first college game. Brown is a real talent, whether he is in orange or not next year.

The absolute most you could say about Bryce Brown was that he was a talent... a "diamond in the rough". Both Poole and Oku showed more RB skills in their limited PT than Brown.

By this time last year, Abrams-Ward, Bailey, Sawtelle, and several others were gone. Subsequently, Coleman and Donald left.

Everyone seemed to think it was great that CLK was cleaning house. So far this year, Brimfield left because he was lazy and Brown may be leaving because of some type of personal issue.

You are inconsistent to say the very least.

Please reference one of my previous posts where I stated that losing any of those players was a good thing last year.

Just got a text from Wes Rucker saying Bryce Brown isn't with the Vols and is looking like he will transfer per Dooley.

when coaching changes happen, players leave. Brimfield and Brown won't be the last one's.. expect more

If my CB gets beat to the outside by a RB, then I don't want him. CB's should always be slightly faster than a RB. Having a RB that can stretch the outside and beat a CB is a gift.

Many of you are so deep in the doolaid you can't see.

Everyone was praising Kiffin for stealing Bryce last year, now he's overrated and you didn't want him here?

Oh, and it's a bad sign when the coach says he hasn't spoken to a star player then that player leaves the next day.
