Bryce Brown Gone

Honestly I thought Bryce Brown was severely Over-Rated since day one. Heck, I could go play play Pop Warner, and I would look like the best player in the country too. No competition out in the Kansas Rec Leagues. I think Tony Williams, if fully recovered, could be a diamond in the rough. Dude is hungry!! Speaking of hunger, does anybody on have the guts to say that Poole isn't the most driven RB we have? I'll take Under-rated vs Over-rated/unrealized potential any day.....Just saying....

I know this guy called Barry Sanders he wasn't to bad.

Yep, just got the text. At this point, nothing really surprises me. Best of luck to him. Whatever under the table deal Kiffin had with him must not have carried over with the new coach.

I wonder what other under the table deals he has with some of the players.

Now we know why Hardesty won the starting job, he actually loved this university. He poured his soul into playing well to represent UT. Good luck Bryce.

No. Hardesty won the job because he made not just SEC level cuts but NFL level cuts. He accelerated through holes. Broke tackles. Juked tacklers. Showed great vision... all the things Brown didn't do.

I think Kiffin really wanted to give BB the job but just couldn't make him take it.

Who cares about Brown?Oku and Poole is still with us and is all vol. I'd rather have someone stay here that wants to then that don't wanna be here..Oku is really good..i watched him in high school...and did good last year

The kid does not show up for practice and that is Dooley's fault?
You have got to want to play in Orange or you can just go home!
It is not Dooley job to beg football players to want to play for the Vols!
It is a honor that thousand of kids would love to have a chance at!

I hope we block all transfers to schools in or near Kansas. I am really starting to think we are heading down the crapper.

If we could afford to lose a player anywhere, it was running back. We still have some great players in the backfield. Let's all face it, Bryce is potentially a great player, but no one really knows if he would've ever panned out. It's a loss, but let's not go overboard with this. Just one player. If he doesn't want to be here, go to K State then.

Well if there is one player we could lose from any postion it would be WR.:)

Toney Williams may end up being the best running back on this roster, if he can get back to where he was before his ACL.

Apparently this has become the new watchword for UT, especially here on VN. It was thrown around a lot when Dooley was hired, and here it is again. Our new mentality must be "we are Tennessee, we don't need good coaches or players, we'll just get by on everybody elses scraps and dominate based on past glories". Not saying this is DD's fault, but it just doesn't seem we've gotten much good news since he set foot on campus.

We got the #9 RB in the country according to Rivals to go with the #1 all purpose back from the previous year.

Neal was a nice mid-tier signing, but Seastrunk said at one point he would have committed to UT if Bryce Brown hadn't just signed one month earlier. Granted, Kiffin leaving could have changed that, but it's all theory.

I was looking forward to watching BB hold up a crystal football one day, but I guess I'll settle for a guy more committed to his team.

This is a running football team and you know that Oku, Poole and Williams are eating this up right now.
