can we just go ahead and pre-report the violation?

Funny thing is...I've never known UT to have a smoke machine. Now if the kids were running through a T, that would be a game day simulation...think about it.

Now I think we should just put the smoke machine on a trailer and follow Brown around with it. Turn it on everytime he enters a new venue.

That would be some funny shizz. Maybe blow a little breeze the whole time too.

Think he needs the smoke for the happy ending?

I heard this weekend they are going to dress out both BB and Coleman along with the band. Coleman is going to be handing the ball off and throwing passes to BB. Every time he runs into the end zone, the band is going to play Rocky Top.

Like I said a few days ago on the recruiting forum, we do not want this guy. I said all of the Cane fans were sick and tired of his 'me' attitude and I got blasted for it. Now that someone has brought it up, especially his own HS coach, it must be true.

All he needs now is a bullet proof cart to ride around on, and he would be Pope Bryce Brown I.

yeah, we want no part of self absorbed high school football players. We should probably stick to Boy Scouts, since they have their priorities right.

people lie all the time. what has his coach done to establish credibility?

absolutely nothing.

if you were a coach that just went 6-3 with the nation's best player, you might be looking for a way to deflect the blame, too.

that guy has no credibility in my book. he's the coach; if he didn't like Bryce's attitude, he could've done without him. putting the blame on a 17/18-yr-old kid's shoulders is ridiculous and pathetic in my book.

I don't know what Bryce is like, because I've never spent five minutes with the guy, but the last thing I'm going to do is base my entire opinion on one source, who has done nothing to establish prior credibility.

I know it lends no credibility right now, but I actually thought the same exact thing when I heard this.

How on Earth are we simulating Gameday when we don't do that on Gameday, yet at least?

Good point Lexvol.

He may have told them that this will be instituted.
Or it's just off limits as it's something that other schools do for gameday, so it's just not allowed.

In Rivals latest article on Brown. His high school coach Brian Byers quoted to the New York Times, "Brown was always about him and then everybody else." He also told the Times Brown wouldn't even stretch with his teammates in his junior season and that team chemistry was nonexistent because Brown would not play hard after he padded his stats.

His thoughts on Tennessee:
"I don't think Tennessee has enough players to be successful at what they're trying to do."

As rumored he does apparently have the me, me attitude and isn't' exactly a team player. I'm not sure how to take his thoughts on Tennessee. He must not really be convinced of that or he wouldn't be visiting this weekend.

.

If Byers had so many issues with Brown, why the hell did he keep handing him the football? Apparently the positives outweigh the negatives with this kid. Bring him to Rocky Top.

You all act like if Brown came to UT that he would be acting the same way...not with this coaching staff, they would put him in check real fast.

I thought the same thing. Byers must be a weannie. If I had a kid with this attitude and refused to stretch with the rest of the team he would ride the pine regardless of how good he is. Brown probably has a huge ego, but I would to if I were the #1 player in the nation. He said he was an honor-roll student with a 3.816 GPA, which means he has other interest outside of football. BTW, I was shocked when I saw his GPA.

The coach is obviously a me person too since he wouldnt bench him to prove a point, instead leave him in to pad his own W stats.

Pot meet Kettle

If we can get BB, then we take him. CLK and staff can adjust his "me" attitude and if they can't then the bench is a great place for him to sit and think about it.

obviously, if we can get him we'll take him. otherwise, we wouldn't be recruiting him. Playing major D1 football is a littler different than being the #1 player in the nation and going 6-3 in high school. He'll stretch with his teammates. Hell, who cares where he stretches

Obviously you only read the last post on each thread. If you would read previous post you would see that some people on this thread have said we don't need this guy(and I respect their opinion), but I was countering what they said with my opinion.

been readin the thread for days. not all of that was directed to you. after reading it it sounds like a personal attack. my apologies. i was referrencing earlier posts about people having concerns about him not stretching with his teammates. If he crosses the goaline..who cares where he stretches

I agree and the staff can rid him of the "me" attitude. So I don't think that would be a problem. :good!:
