Bryce Brown has a video on his facebook page where he says he just met with Tennessee's offensive coordinator and really liked him. Its the video titled k-state official visit.

Butler is also Oku's mentor.

That is why I think the Bryce Brown thing is legit. I think Bryan Bulter is consulting with both and it is a concern and a possible conflict of interest. We could easily come out on top of this or left holding the bag.

Bryce will not end up at Miami. You can book that. I don't know what this does for our chances, but UM is all but out.

Nice point Impact. I didnt think of it that way.

I really think it could be a reason Oku started looking around. When Bryce Brown's name came to the forefront, Drayton's Departure, Plane to Wichita and Oku started looking. All these coincidences. Common theme throughout is Brian Bulter.

i think Brown would start right away if he comes here. i hope we get him just think Brown and Creer hows that for a 1 2 punch!!!!

Why would Oku look around based on what Brown might do when even Brown doesn't know what he will do!? Makes no sense. Is that greaseball Butler REALLY "advising" Oku, too? That would be totally bizarre. I read earlier that Brown comes from a "good family." I would dispute that. They are a very naive family--to put it politely--to let Butler leech onto their kid for nothing other than his own gain. What exactly does Brown's family think Butler is doing for the kid??? What a joke. The families of these two players have clearly let the whole star prospect hype push them way off a sensible course.

Hello Vol Fans, long time reader and first time poster. This entire recruiting class has kept me on edge. I can hardly contain my excitement at the thought of a playmaker like Brown joining the Vols. I really hope we land this guy and I really look forward to conversing with my fellow Vol Fans. GO VOLS!!

More relevant to Bryce's decision, check out how many UT's new RB coach has sent to the League and compare those names to the ones you provided? I think you'll be pleased.

Kiffin hires Gran, former Auburn running backs coach : Football : GoVolsXtra.com

Heath Evans and Kenny Irons didn't really play. They were going to move Jacobs to linebacker at Auburn which caused him to transfer out of the program. So, I don't think it's really valid to count him.

Credit Gran with Brown, McAlister and Williams. His record, at other schools, sounds competitive at best with Oregon regarding RB's playing in the NFL. But, there is the unknown of how Gran will work in Kiffin's system. The most rushing TD's any RB got under Kiffin in the NFL in a season was 4.

Last season, Oregon had two RBs with over 1000 yards rushing. One of them is projected to be drafted in the NFL this year and the other is projected to go next year (probably could have made it this year). So, whatever other arguments may exist, I think it's simply not true that Brown would be "wasting his time" at Oregon in regards to an NFL career. Oregon's system showcases RBs. Bryce Brown accumulated the stats that made him the #1 prospect in the nation in the same system Oregon runs.

Exactly. You cant base it off the old coaching staff. This staff is the yankees of CFB. So whosever troll you are, Never say we havnt sent anyone to the NFL! We can name a stud or more that every coach has coached or sent to the nfl

I didn't say that UT never sent anyone to the NFL. I simply pointed out that Oregon program has a better record sending RBs to the NFL than UT.

The new coaching staff is a mixed bag, imo. Gran does have a positive legacy with RBs. But, Kiffin does not. And, as we have all seen in college ball, looking good on paper doesn't always mean the same results for new groups of coaches.

Right there with you Slang. This recruiting season has been a blast. The last time I enjoyed it this much was when we got Peyton!!

:good!:

Most people forget the Raiders had a top 6 rushing attack Kiffin's first year

Oh really. Name all the great Oregon RBs in the NFL.

I don't think that is really correct. Oakland was ranked 6th in yards per game rushing. However, they were ranked 18th for TD's scored. Not a "top 6 rushing attack".

As I pointed out, the most TD's any RB has ever scored in a season under Kiffin is 4. Maybe he will do something different in the future. But, that isn't very promising for a prospective RB, imo.

I already named a few. Johnathan Stewart, Reuben Droughns, Maurice Morris and Onterrio Smith.

Yes, this guy that you responded to has all his facts wrong.

Please point out which facts I have wrong and show me the correct information.

Wow...stop talking...now. Reuben Droughns, Maurice Morris and Jonathan Stewart absolutely do not compare to Pro Bowlers like Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and Charlie Garner. Lewis had more rushing yards in his first three seasons than Oregon's leading NFL rusher, Droughns, has in his life.

In fact, Tennessee has a better record sending players to the NFL than Oregon does at pretty much every position...the two are not even really comparable. This is Oregon we are talking about. Their best NFL player is Ngata, and Haynesworth is MUCH better at the same position.

The only way I believe that he is coming to Knoxville is if he has a tee time with Jimmy Haslam at Cherokee Country Club next weekend.
