I don't buy that that is enough reason to give Oregon as much of a chance as the Vols after all this time. It's not like the move was a surprise, I thought it was coming sooner than it did. I still think Miami is in second place and Oregon third. I don't buy for a second that Bryce is seriously considering going to Oregon.

Fair enough. You may turn out to be right.

I would think that relationship with a coach could be a big factor for a recruit. Plus, Oregon has a lot of other things going for it from Brown's perspective, as he has detailed in the past.

First, recruit talk is cheap. Oku loved Auburn IIRC, and had nothing but good things to say... He's now in orange.

Second, smite you for thinking Oregon has a better chance at a national title run than UT. That would mean Oregon would have to have an undefeated season. That isn't something I'd bet on, no matter the Vegas odds.

But I think the point is here, for Bryce Brown, that Oregon and Tennessee have been doing the same since he's been cognizant of college football teams outside of his home state, if at all... Since 1999, Oregon and UT have had the exact same number of wins, and UT has 3 more losses. Neither team has a championship during that span. So what would make Bryce really care about championships that have happened in the past, when he wants one now?

Although I never actually said December, Bryce said he's known this was going to happen at the time it did for "a long time".

I guess though, I should believe he's lying to me b/c you say so, even though he's not lied to me one single time in this entire episode, even while he was lying to everyone else.

Interesting. That contradicts the odds from the other place. The question is, when was this odds sheet posted? It doesn't have the date. The ones I posted were from just a few days ago.

#1 Oregon would not necessarily have to go undefeated. They are going to start well into the rankings. They have a solid schedule with Utah and Boise State OOC and USC at Autzen.

#2 You may not bet on Oregon winning the NC. But, the point is that far fewer people would bet that UT will. That's why the payout has to be higher to get people to make that bet. I don't see UT beating Florida, LSU, Georgia, Alabama or Ole Miss. They might not even beat UCLA or Vandy.

I'm not sure. It was the only one that isn't blocked at work. makes me wonder why kind of spyware the other sites are running.

Take it FWIW but Oregon mod just posted today that he has two sources saying it's down to Oregon and KState. Both sources confirmed that today.

Hadn't heard Harper was going to be there. Where did you guys read that?

Also, making a big deal about Harper being homesick is garbage. He didn't have the best transition into college but he's committed and knows he's there for his education and to play football.
