Personally, I wouldn't think we would stand a chance with any recruit that hasn't been "on campus" since late last year.
I disagree. I think that you would think that you stood a good chance given the things he has said.
Oregon recruiting him early, when teams normally start recruiting kids, rather than late, just demonstrates that Brown fits into the offensive plan that Kelly has. Getting in late seems more like opportunism then being part of a deliberate plan.
Note: looks like I'm turning into Wheaton now... lol
Somebody has to take the baton and represent. I'm busy doing taxes!
Plus, I would never purposely bring up RoboDuck!
Funny story about that mascot attempt. When he was "unveiled" they did this big show with smoke and an egg hatching and all this. But, instead of cheers, the crowd at Autzen laughed and booed. Needless to say, he wasn't seen much after that.
They know that at any second, their program is going to go back to being irrelevant like it was for years, so they have to make sure they get everything in while they think people are listening.
You're going to make an excellent journalist, known for his straight facts and objective reporting.

k:
What was Oregons recruiting class ranked for this year?

Not sure because it isn't finished. Depends on how much Gaines might bump us up. If Brown chooses Oregon, it will put us pretty close to where UT is now.
What are the odds that UT will win the NC game next year:
UT - 100/1
Oregon - 20/1
Hubbs said the reason for putting Oregon 2nd is Bryce's relationship with Chip Kelly. I just don't buy that for a second.
You don't buy that Brown has a good rapport with Kelly? Or, you don't buy that having a good rapport with a coach is a reason for Brown to pick a school?
