Bristol already behind schedule (updates added)

I want to see the video of the artificial grass growing! That will impress me.

They will be using a special fertilizer for this. NOTHING like a 10-10-10 but a H-R-C. This ish is amazing at growing all things artificial. Probably will require a whole fleet of D-9's and giant trackhoes to clear the infield. JMHO...

Heard through the grape vine. That is actually only going to take 11-13 days to get everything ready. They planned for a day or two of bad weather and things of that nature so I would imagine it should be ready to go by the beginning of game week.

Good morning VN. Glad to see all is still normal around here. If fans weren't freaking out and dodging pieces of falling sky on here, then I would be worried.

On another note I think they do need to wait 24hrs before growing the turf just so they won't have to waste time and money paying someone to mow it before the game. That turf grows fast you know. Do I really have to use blue font???

I bet that grass will grow anywhere!!

sure enough ...AND .. you fertilize plastic grass with with NASCAR tire rubber scraped off track walls and ground up tires off bammer trailer roofs what's had to withstand alla those tornadoes. Won't be NO worries that grown men can practice an play a coupla games on it. Be the toughest plastic grass ever grown!

Yes, you do.

Around here, yes! :loco:

With artificial turf, you know exactly how it is going to hold up, no matter if it's been played on before or not.

Astroturf lays down these fields all the time, and they are ready to be played on the second the last stitch is sown. In this case, the field is coming pre-lined and numbered, so they won't even have to do any stitching on site. They will put it down, and it will be done. Even with the one-day delay, the field will be ready to be played on eight full days before the game.

I don't think you understand. AstroTurf takes a lot longer to take root, even after all the seed is sewn. I don't care how much they water it. Artificial turf that hasn't taken deep root will be torn to shreds on game day.

This is a disaster. Hart needs to step down!

If anyone gets any pics of the battle ground seats can you post them? Just wonder if they are going to be bleacher type seats or maybe chair backs?
