I guess he's never had to invest in tickets, drive up, spend money on gas and food, drive back. Do that 6-8 times, gets expensive.

Fans tweeting players and recruits are an embarrassment. We can say what we want the majority of us have never been a player foe the university we cheer for. Coaches are the teams representation to the fans and media. Gundy said it best 10-15 years ago.

You gotta admit this fire Pruitt, fire Fulmer fire everybody has gotten totally out of control on this board. Everyone needs take a deep breath and step back for a bit. Pruitt's not getting fired end of this season and he may even turn things around next yr. No one knows. This fire everybody $hit needs to take a break.

He's young. Maybe a bit of a head case, but I can't throw the first stone there. I was 20 once. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

Talented athlete. Channel that energy in the right direction. Get better every day. You only get one ride on the Alpine Slide of life. So make every day count. If you can look in the mirror at the end of your time at UT and say "I did the best I could", then you owe no one an a apology, or an excuse.

Give Your All. That's what the General demanded, and all we ask.

This thread is a perfect example of people drawing conclusions from a little bit of data or a small portion of the complete picture. If you read his first sentence, he clearly was responding to a single individual who apparently tweeted him something that got him upset. Chill folks.

Maybe neither Pruitt or Fulmer knows what their doing but neither one is going anywhere right now so why keep posting all these fire everybody threads. How many times does it need to be said and the reasons listed. The point is clear by those who want them fired.

What about all the fans that need to vent? It’s not fair to them as a fan to be kept from getting on a message board and anonymously trash talk the players and coaches of the team they claim.

Not a good look young man, let me tell you something from one vol to another The University of Tennessee football team is not your team or the fans team it is OUR team players & fans. The fans are there cheering you on dropping countless dollars in games,concessions, merch,and donations to the University. If you don't like hearing the grumbling.... how about doing something about it? But instead you want to push the blame to the fans all because of criticism?? Grow up...No disrespect.

A former classmate of mine flew out to Bend that time for the Oregon game a few years ago during Butch's first season. He spent close to $2,000 on airfare, hotel, tickets, merch, etc. Subsequent trips to Gainesville, Bama, Missouri. Near the end of the season he finally broke and put his season tickets up. Said he just couldn't keep spending hundreds of dollars to go to a game and watch them lose over and over. After a while it takes a toll on one's soul. We've all been there. Late 4th quarter, staring into the void as the rival team scores another easy touchdown. Wondering all the while if the money, time, emotion we spent was really worth it all.

Then the Maurer bit, idk. I'm sure some asshat fans probably got to him on social media. But lashing out only makes it worse; no maturity.
