I'm pretty convinced the cancer being back is real. We saw him getting a treatment.
Yea, I'm not saying he's faking it for sure. Just speculation because it's fun. I didn't remember if he was coughing in the flash forward parts.
I was happy with Walt getting away with everything tilled he killed Mike. Mike was my favorite character. When Walt became a Gus wannabe it made me like him a little less.
I sort of agree; however if you remember, Mike was going to kill Walt when Walt sent Jesse to kill Gale. I had sort of forgotten that, and when I went back and watched the previous seasons and watched when that was going to go down, I felt a little less bad about Mike getting offed.
At least with Mike it was strictly business. Even Walt acknowledged that later to Mike.
Walt shot Mike because Mike told him off and Walt's pride got hurt.
When Walt was doing everything to provide for his family or survive against Gus....I could accept that. Once he killed Gus he wanted to be the bigshot. Providing and surviving weren't a priority. His pride was. He had an opportunity to walk away with 5 million when they sold the methylamine to Declan. But his pride got the better of him. Once his pride took over I quit pulling for him like before.
Saying something is "strictly business" is a copout way of making yourself feel better for having to do bad things. While I agree with you about Walt, Mike was a grown up playing in a dangerous game so you could also argue he knew the risks he was taking being in the business period. So I have little sympathy for him.

I have to say that near the end of season 5, I felt more and more disturbed after watching each episode. I became completely disgusted with Walt and hoped he would eventually meet his match.
My guess is that before the show ends, everything will be taken from Walt and he will be brought to his knees finally recognizing all that he had done and the damage he has caused. It's not going to end well for Walt, but I think circumstances will humble him before he meets the end.
Could be that if Saul and said goons start being watched more closely, that money they stole becomes a big piece of the puzzle if discovered...

I'm with you on this one. Ever since the incident with the girlfriend's kid, I've been hoping for a Jesse kills Walt ending. I don't think it'll happen but that's what I'm still holding out hope for.
The guy the last episode was dedicated to was a hardcore fan. He was terminal and he met Cranston. Cranston offered to tell him how the show ended. He didn't want to know. He wanted to see it himself. He died without knowing. It's just a show, but I find that really sad.
