Breaking Bad on amc

I'm pretty convinced the cancer being back is real. We saw him getting a treatment.

Maybe it was just me, but the bathroom scene when Walt told Skyler to make sure she and the kids got the money, made me feel bad for him. It seemed like old Walt again and not Heisenberg. Either way since this is just a tv show and not true, I am solidly on Walt's side. It has been a long journey and I want him to win.

Yea, I'm not saying he's faking it for sure. Just speculation because it's fun. I didn't remember if he was coughing in the flash forward parts.

I was happy with Walt getting away with everything tilled he killed Mike. Mike was my favorite character. When Walt became a Gus wannabe it made me like him a little less.

I should remind folks, the reason he was sneaking isn't because he's faking most likely. It's because he doesn't want his wife to know. Remember the last time they discussed his cancer she was not very kind about it. I would wager he felt telling her would be a win for her and a loss for him.

I sort of agree; however if you remember, Mike was going to kill Walt when Walt sent Jesse to kill Gale. I had sort of forgotten that, and when I went back and watched the previous seasons and watched when that was going to go down, I felt a little less bad about Mike getting offed.

At least with Mike it was strictly business. Even Walt acknowledged that later to Mike.

Walt shot Mike because Mike told him off and Walt's pride got hurt.

When Walt was doing everything to provide for his family or survive against Gus....I could accept that. Once he killed Gus he wanted to be the bigshot. Providing and surviving weren't a priority. His pride was. He had an opportunity to walk away with 5 million when they sold the methylamine to Declan. But his pride got the better of him. Once his pride took over I quit pulling for him like before.

Saying something is "strictly business" is a copout way of making yourself feel better for having to do bad things. While I agree with you about Walt, Mike was a grown up playing in a dangerous game so you could also argue he knew the risks he was taking being in the business period. So I have little sympathy for him.

Mike's not the one that said it was strictly business about being the one to kill Walt. Walt said it himself when he was trying to convince Mike to do something.

I'm certain Mike knew the risks. Everyone did. But being "in the business" didn't get him killed. It wasn't cartel, the DEA, or anything related to selling drugs being the reason he died. He was killed by Walt because he told him off for being a dumbass and hurt Walt's feelings.

I have to say that near the end of season 5, I felt more and more disturbed after watching each episode. I became completely disgusted with Walt and hoped he would eventually meet his match.

My guess is that before the show ends, everything will be taken from Walt and he will be brought to his knees finally recognizing all that he had done and the damage he has caused. It's not going to end well for Walt, but I think circumstances will humble him before he meets the end.

Interesting that you are disgusted with Walt.

I am actually still pulling for him. Wonder how the percentages would break down among viewers.

Could be that if Saul and said goons start being watched more closely, that money they stole becomes a big piece of the puzzle if discovered...

That is a very interesting idea I hadn't even considered. Kuby or Huell does something stupid to get the police on his back and they start grilling him about the 30,000 cash that was found in his trunk.

I'm with you on this one. Ever since the incident with the girlfriend's kid, I've been hoping for a Jesse kills Walt ending. I don't think it'll happen but that's what I'm still holding out hope for.

It's going to go one of two ways imo opinion concerning Jesse:

A) He dies in episode 5
B) He kills Walt in the series finale

With this show, trying to make predictions for where it's heading is next to impossible but, right now, it looks as if A is the most likely scenario.

The guy the last episode was dedicated to was a hardcore fan. He was terminal and he met Cranston. Cranston offered to tell him how the show ended. He didn't want to know. He wanted to see it himself. He died without knowing. It's just a show, but I find that really sad.

Reminds me of a letter Stephen King got in 1999. A lady diagnosed with terminal cancer wanted to know how the Dark Tower series ended, she said she'd even sign a contract to not reveal the end.

He responded "I'd tell you. But I don't know myself. Here's an autograph, it's all I can do really."

Did not know that. Thanks for sharing that info.

I won't lie, I kinda wanted him to kill Saul or one of his bodyguards or someone.

Because now... Now he won't have the chance I fear.

I thought that one way Walt might scare Hank into stalling the investigation was to tell Hank he would implicate Hank in the meth business. I envisioned it would be something like Walt telling the DEA "Hank knew everything and looked the other way and kept you all off the trail..."

I liked how the show did it much better. Hank is the mastermind all along. Ha ha.
