Breaking Bad on amc

No doubt, I will shed tears after the series finale.

BB, Sopranos, & The Wire are neck and neck for best tv show, imo.

I think walt is gonna live, because it will be worse than him dying by the end.

I think so too. I believe knowing that Walt Jr. will no longer respect him and he'll never have a relationship with his daughter is going to eat him up. Remember the episode where Walt Jr. finds him after he fought with Jesse and Walt broke down about how he didn't want his son to remember him like that, because of his own issues with his father.

I'm also still wondering if Skylar eats it, essentially leaving his kids parentless.

Been re-watching the series as AMC re-airs it.

"Fly" was my least favorite episode. I almost skipped it, but decided to give it a re-watch too.

I forgot about one of my favorite Jesse "thoughts" when they're in the lab:

Possum. Big, freaky, lookin' *****. Since when did they change it to opossum? When I was comin' up it was just possum. Opossum makes it sound like he's irish or something. Why do they gotta go changing everything?

I just think I will have that dull non believe that its over feeling like with the Sopranos. Get all amped up and then there is nothing. It has been an epic journey. Few series have done that for me. But I agree those are my top 3. Boardwalk may creep up there when it's all said and done. It's just been a great show.

Yep. I think you nailed it here. There's a great interview with Cranston on Howard Stern, easily finadable on YouTube. Interview took place in October 2012, so between the airing of Season 5 first 8 and before filming began for last 8.

Cranston said that he always thought Walt has to die at the end, but he's been coming around more to the idea that maybe Walt will live and everyone else around him will die, probably due to his actions. This was before he had seen the script, they we're just discussing how it could end. It's a great interview. Highly recommend when you have an hour to kill.

My top 3 shows of all time. Interchangeable depending on the time of day.

As far as what the "Best show ever" I've always looked at it kind of like the HOF. Players can't make the HOF until they're done playing. I don't think I can say a show is the "Best show ever" while it still on the air. For now I think it's Sopranos but I think that will change in a couple of months. I actually think there is a few shows that are currently airing that will wind up in my top 10.

Because any sane wife would be just fine with her husband being a meth manufacturer. She should loosen up.

I know Vince, but I don't care.

But this is a fictional show, and one where Gilligan has created this dark, dark anti-hero-turned-villain with whom we’ve developed a emotional investment. The people that hate Skyler — and I’m not counting myself among them — don’t necessarily hate her because she’s a “henpecking” shrew, but because she’s an obstacle to Walter White, who, despite ourselves, we kind of root for (although, not as much of late).

Re-watching the episode where Jesse is in the hospital after Hank beat him down, he goes off on Walt about not wanting anything to do with him anymore since he's alone and his problems started when he cooked with Walt.

Looking at the series as a whole, anyone who has associated with Walt has come out losing and it's usually Walt's fault somehow. Just off the top of my head.....

+++SPOILERS++++

Jesse- Jane's death. Gus wanted him dead. ect...

Mike- life goes to crap when Gus's account list is found(because of Walt)...then gets shot by Walt

Ted Beneke- Paralyzed(?) when Saul's goons show up to convince him to write the check to the IRS.

Gus- gets blown up

Hank- Gus puts Tuco's cousin's on Hank so he can do business with Walt.

I'm sure there's more. Walt has done a great job of destroying people's lives.

Oh, no doubt, Walt has a tremendous amount of blood on his hands.

Eh, I think crediting Walt with Ted's problems is a stretch. If he hadn't been a complete idiot with his IRS problems, he wouldn't have had problems. He created his own mess and then made it worse by taking the money given to him and trying to ignore his IRS debt.

Plus technically the goons really didn't do anything. Sure they scared him but he's the clumsy goof who tripped on his own rug. If he had just mailed the check and played along he would have been fine.

Yea, when I was typing I was just thinking of anything bad that happened to people in the show. Afterwards I realized it's a stretch. I haven't gotten that far into the re-watch though so I'm a little sketchy. I think it was Skylar's comments that got Saul to send the guys to Beneke's.

Sure Beneke is to blame for much of it. But still, it was to protect Walt from getting busted. :)
