This is definitely going in an extremely dark direction......more so than it has been recently. Jesse has become essentially a prisoner of sorts to Walt. Sad to see, especially since it's apparant at this point that Jesse wants nothing whatsoever to do with the business and would rather just up and leave so he can lead his own life.
Funny scene at the dinner table, though. Green beans were awesome, yo.
Can't believe Walt wouldn't take the money and run. Some times he's just too dumb to believe. He may have a master plan up his sleeve, but he didn't when he was initially rejecting the $5M. Excited to see what his plan is.
I thought Walt's explanation on turning down the money was adequate. It's not about the money. It's more about proving he can succeed at something. From the beginning of the show, the job of high school teacher was always one he seemed to be stuck with. He believed he was meant for much greater things. While becoming a drug kingpin isn't exactly admirable, it's more about the respect it garners from people inside that life. He wants to be respected and feared by his competitors.
Anyways, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but a few shows ago there was a scene where Walt and Walt Jr. were watching Scarface. One of them mentions everyone dying in the end. I just felt like they were telling us the way it will play out, or at least trying to put that idea into the viewer's mind.
Walt leaving the drug business now isn't going to change Skyler's feelings for him. She wouldn't allow the kids to be around him. Personally, I think he may kill her just to get the kids back.
Not really, I thought the seasons-long exposition of why Walt won't sell out is fairly logical
