Breaking Bad on amc

I just finished the first half of season 5. I can't wait til Aug. 11.

Well I was wrong. I still haven't seen episodes 7 and 8 from pt. 1.

I was reading through the thread and stumbled upon a spoiler. Dang it.

No reason this should be this funny.

We're less than a month away from the beginning of the end.

I saw the first commercial (that I had noticed at least) that showed actual footage from the last season this past Sunday; it's a shot of Hank driving, with a very serious look on his face and he's obviously driving very fast. My guess it's happening not long after he figured out who WW is.

Wasn't Walt just right outside, though?

Hank obviously had it in his head that WW is Walter and GB is Gale.

Walt, Gretchen, and Elliott founded Gray Matter and I remember that Walt came up with Gray Matter by combining two names White and Black.

How plausible is it that GB is Gretchen Black instead of Gale Boetticher?

Late to the party as well. However, I've watched all five seasons within the past month. Not having paid much attention, I figured this show was a supposed to be "kind of" a comedy -- chemistry teacher get cancer and turns to making meth. Very, very wrong on that.

Through the 5 seasons I've gone through a love/hate with each and every character on the show. As the final episodes begin, I hate Walt. I have to believe that before he meets his end he will somehow transform back into the sympathetic guy he was in season 1. He's just a pure monster right now.

I also think in the end Jessee will be seen as the most changed person for the better because of these experiences.

Throughout the entire series my two favorite characters are Mike and Saul.

Finally, I think it's just too obvious if they have Hank bring Walt down. Maybe Hank figures it out and then does nothing. I don't know. Great show though.

Hank looks like he's ready to explode in that teaser. We should be getting a full trailer next week at Comicon.

You'll be happy to know they are (supposedly) doing a spin off "Better Call Saul"

If I ever get into trouble, I am going to call Saul for sure.

On an unrelated note, did BB ever attempt to explain the coincidence of the plane crashing right overtop of Walt's house/neighborhood with the crash caused by the controller error of Jane's dad (after what occurred between Walt and Jane)?

I wouldn't be surprised to see that whole situation be resurrrected before the show ends. It just seems kind of weird that the show would use such a happening with it being nothing more than a coincidence.

I don't expect anything to come of the plane crash. The only way I see that coming back up is if Jesse finds out that Walter watched Jane die.

However, Walter heard on the tv or radio that Jane's dad shot himself but it did NOT say that he died. He could find out about Walter and come after him.

I agree it won't be revisited in depth. But I do think everything will be explained in the end. Maybe just indirectly. I think the writers will make it clear that its all about karma or judgment from God. The show's creator has hinted at such in interviews.

I don't think the plane gets revisited at all...

This better end on at LEAST a 2 hour finale. 8 episodes isn't enough to finish this out properly, because I know they're going to introduce some more story lines. Who is the main antagonist for the last "half-season?"

BTW 4 weeks...

In the teaser at the start of this season last year, Walter is buying a machine gun and thousands of rounds of ammo. Is he going to war with Hank and the DEA or the new guy who wants all of the methyl amine? I think it's the latter.

If the spinoff centering on Saul happens, I would like to see it set before Breaking Bad happens. That way they could bring back Mike.

Spin-off sounds terrible... Just saying. Saul is an okay character, but without Walt and Jesse, there is no show.

I have to agree, especially considered the early ideas had it more of a comedy. Which would make sense in a way being that Saul is basically the comic relief of the show, but a comedy that is in the same universe as BB just sounds like an awful idea to me. And yes I think just Saul could not carry the show.

If they want to do something, make some webisodes featuring Saul, but an actual series is a bad idea IMHO.
