I hope you all get what you want.
I understand that traditionally the Gator Bowl has a name that people know. But, the Music City is a better bowl.
If fans would rather have fun in Jacksonville than Nashville, cool.
But, technically, at this point in time, the Music City is better.
I've never understood the "too many bowls" argument. I love college football and the season is over in a heartbeat. I watch 6-6 teams from other parts of the country that aren't playing for any kind of championship and I still enjoy the games because I just love college football. It's all for entertainment so what do I care if they aren't ranked.Too many bowls? For who - people who don’t like watching CFB? We’re about to go 8 months w/o any CFB games so I say the more the better. Besides, bowls are rewards for the kids putting in the work so don’t worry about it.

All that's needed in Nashville are a couple of major casinos. I never fiqured out why they closed Opryland down. I get your point on the drinking because that's all downtown is.Moved there from Memphis in 2012 when I was 19. Boring as all hell all there is to do there is drink. I can do that at home
Sports council wanted Vols to sell out the game, or come close, but they don't count on Vols fans spending a lot of money downtown. Most will show up, pay to park, go to the game, and go back home same day. The Keith Urban, Jason Isbell free concert that will probably draw over 200,000 people if the weather is good, is the downtown tourism driver for the days leading up to NYE.So how many titans fans get rooms and eat out multiple times, maybe spend an extra day to go shopping? Same for a press game?
Not a big deal but not buying the tourism folks would back you up.
