My son has been through the baseball recruiting cycle the last 2 years and coaches will tell you parent behavior absolutely factors into recruiting. The last thing a college coach wants to deal with is a high maintenance parent.

My son's college coach gave the same speech to incoming freshmen parents every year with this statement: "If you come to me and ask me why your son is not playing, I'm going to give you that answer right now: 'He's not good enogh'. If you don't want to hear that, don't ask."
