1 guy doesn't have his mind right. The other guy is trying to take care of his future but his loss hurts our defense, because he's not their to shut down one side of the field, while also creating the AURA of, "look out for yourself".

Throw in not having Arion Carter and thats how Kentucky gets 500 yards total offense and 30+ points.

But Boo being distracted and McCoy staying AWAY has hamstrung our defense.
Oh and Gibson injury.

People are quick to jump on Boo, but I just have to point out McCoy is playing hookie. And when this kind of environment exists it permeates to that entire side of the football.

I said what I said, and McCoy holding out is a huge gamble for him to take.

Eddie Jackson of Alabama in 2014 had the same injury April of that year. Came back and started 8 games. We all know McCoy should have been back weeks ago

This is dumb. McCoy is working back at as best pace as he can. He had a setback a couple weeks ago with swelling but I’m sure you doctor webMD sees nothing wrong with that. My goodness

If he has been medically cleared to play, I agree with you, but I have no idea if he has been cleared or not. And I doubt if you do either.

Got no problem with McCoy. He's got a lot at stake and can't afford to rush back. Boo OTOH....

There have been a lot of terrible takes on this board. This one ranks near the top.

McCoy would be hurting his draft stock by not playing if he is able to. Missing a whole year of FB due to injury doesn’t exactly sit well with NFL GMs.

Pretty ****** to be sitting on the coach impugning this young man. You have ZERO clue as to whether or not he is physically able to play.

ACL don't heal the same. Some will never play the sport again. I was never very athletic after mine was repaired.

Not a good take there on McCoy. Little Vol unless your a part of the medical staff or know personally the extent of his injury that is a terrible take. And I believe if he was cleared and ready to play he would be out there. It’s a bad thing to speculate as fact on anyone. GBO

I had 3. Bodies heal differently. Tears are different, some partial, some full, some take bone with them Some have cartilage damage as well.
Saying this guy did this after one so this guy should do the same is a comment born from ignorance.
There’s been fluid on the knee, which means the body is telling him something, and it has to be drained.

You don’t know what you are talking about with McCoy. Best to stay quiet when that’s the case.
Exactly. Dude had a bad injury. Has every right to sit until he is and the doctors are 100% satisfied he’s ready to go.
If that’s after the season so be it.

When was the last time a top notch college player had his whole career ended by an ACL?
The issue is not "whole career." The issue is whether he will still be elite, which is what NFL teams are hoping to get in the 1st round.

There're plenty of elite college players who have never been the same after ACL surgery. You can start with Hendon Hooker.
