BJ Coleman (Merged)

If the coaching staff really wanted him to stay they would never allow him to leave! To me, its that simple.

The quote was their was one or two QB's now behind Crompton with Stephens being the first. You can't count Roizer because he has been playing baseball and wasn't that good coming out of high school.

You can if our coaching staff thinks highly enough of him to invite him to play here...

Another East Tennessee over-hyped and under (arm) powered local hero fails to become another Andy Kelly. I trust coaches Kiffin and Chaney to be able to recognize division 1 type talent and obviously BJ came up short. I am sure he is a nice kid but his future at UT was holding a cliopboad while wearing a baseball cap.

I understand what you're saying but put yourself in Coleman's shoes (sorry can't call him BJ). If the coaching staff told you, which apparently happened if you read between the lines, that you wouldn't be playing very much for the Vols due to your percieved limitations wouldn't you want to go somewhere you would get a better chance to play?

Oh, I definitely understand the move on Coleman's part. I'm just trying to respond to the people who say it wouldn't hurt the team in any way.

Are you implying that players who want to be at UT are all quality players?

No. I'm implying I don't want someone who is going to whine and complain. If they don't want to be here good riddance. He'll get replaced by a better version next year.

When decisions are made based of od emotions, you usually reget your decision. Let's hope this blows over and BJ stays with the team.

Here is the thing with this. If CLK dosent know about BJ quitting and BJ goes and runs his mouth to the press...Do you think that CLK will let him walk back on the field...hell no...that would be a bad example for the team and breaks chemistry..T.O. type mentality
CLK will not tolerate that crap...BJ just made his bed

Even if Kiffin announced today that Crompton would be the starter, Coleman or Stephens could still beat him out. Remember, with Kiffin the competition never ends.

Fom what I saw Saturday, it looked wide open to me. Stephens is still playing catch up, Crompton still looks lost about every third play.

If he starts it's because he earned it. Losing Coleman isn't the end of the world. He wasn't going to make or break this team. Regardless of what most think, he wasn't that good.

incorrect.

if he starts it's because Crapton and Stephens are so far in the toilet that not even Lt. Mitch Bucannon could save them.

Then they can get on 75 South and follow Coleman's ass back to Chattanooga. 5-7 losers don't get to question decisions.

Your bitterness and bad attitude is not just limited to basketball? You come across as a modern day scrooge. Are you ever happy?

I think BJ knows that.
