BIG WIN LADIES!!!!

i'm not gonna to beat up Paige. i think she is a super talented player with a history of bad injuries. she's def lost a step. i do get very irritated when players like paige end up 1st team AA b/c of their name and not their season. that's not her fault though. it's the voters.

Lobo going dead silent and not saying a single word after the buzzer is what gets me. Grossly unprofessional. Anytime she calls a UConn loss she goes silent for huge portions of the broadcast. She should not call their games if she has so little control over her bias.
Yes, I took much pleasure in that. ESPN should never let a big UConn homer like her call a UConn game. Just went along with all the UConn pregame praise of not losing to TN since 2007, which we all know is gross fake news.

I too got tired of the misleading ‘Tennessee hasn’t beat UCONN since 2007’ statement. We won in 2007 then did not play them for 13 years. So UCONN actually went, I guess, from 2004 until 2019 without beating us…..
It could be worse. UConn hasn't beaten Arizona since 1998.

(0-1 since then, playing once, in 2021)

It's a fun debate talking about all those nonexistent games that took place between 2008 and 2020. We actually won a lot more of those games than they'd like to give us credit for.

I don't think she has lost a step in a permanent sense. Paige was brilliant in the last year's NCAA tournament. She is in a slump right now and may be feeling that knee aggravation she picked up earlier in the season but she will likely be a force once tournament time rolls around.

People have been crowing about this for a while now. Personally I’m on the fence. I’m no Pollyanna who thinks he is a perfect coach who can never do any wrong. I also think that it’s very hard to stay #1 for ever and all time (as I’m sure LV fans can understand). TBH there are a number of things in and out of his control that have contributed to UConn being an also ran for the past decade now.
I'm not exactly sure "also ran" is what I'd call UCONN for the past 10 years. I mean 9 out of 10 final fours...most teams would love that! However, I get where the uconn fan base is getting restless and is sick of seeing them lose in the final 4 every year and seeing Geno not as passionate and on point as he ages.
