That wasn’t the point of the convo. It was whether our style of play would hinder the players that go to other programs. I don’t think it will and pointed out that the style of offense is used frequently. I don’t think the subbing pattern of the lady vols has any affect on their future performances.Did you mass sub every 1-3 minutes also? Including your best players? Or is that a trivial thingy?
It was the point, because CKC is doubling down on it. It’s the main point. Did you sub your best players out every 1-3 minutes when you coached? Simple question. That wasn’t the point of the convo. As for my AAU team, it was a developmental team for some very athletic girls whose parents didn’t have access to travel sports. The first day of practice, they hit 3 out of 32 lay ups. LOL I taught them the dribble drive motion offense to get them use to being able to move without the ball. I didn’t press bc I didn’t feel it taught my team how to play defense. I didn’t like Zone defenses bc that is not really teaching them defense either although I used it some bc I didn’t want my girls to feel too defeated against good teams. We didn’t sub constantly although I could have bc we had 8 equally below average girls. We lost our first game 54-8 but we improved all the way to winning a championship in our last tournament. I was so proud of that team. One of my favorite moments as a youth coach.
You replied to something that wasn’t being discussed. The subbing patterns were immaterial to the discussion. As for your question, I didn’t but I would have if I thought it would help me win. I will be curious to see what minutes will look like if she gets some players that deserve more minutes. It was the point, because CKC is doubling down on it. It’s the main point. So you coached. Do you think there would ever be a situation where you decided it was best to sub your top players out every 1-3 minutes? Can you go there? You replied to something that wasn’t being discussed. The subbing patterns were immaterial to the discussion. … I… must… resist…I’m going to give my good friend a wide berth here. It seems to me his humor is quite often lost on many in this forum, it’s often of an intellectual nature and almost always of amazingly good wit for anyone who notices and can appreciate. But just this once I am making it known that @1reVOLver missed the mark, albeit only slightly. Cracker Jax? My good man!![]()
And I would hate for her to stay stagnant. Twins dad said as much when season ended.I think if we could all be honest and take our orange colored glasses off for just 1 second, we could all recognize what a waste of potential it would be for Edwards to come here. As someone who appreciates the game, why would you want someone or her talent to come into a situation like this?
