There is a place outside of Ripley, TN. that's right off the Miss. river called Chizms. It's up on stilts and has foam underneath so if the water gets too high it will flaot. You walk in, order you a drink at the bar, the bartender is also the host, tell her how you want your steak cooked and go and set down and wait until it's ready. You don't have a choice its all rideye's and they are at the least 16 to 18 oz. and fantastic. Drink, small salad and potatoe bar and steak 13.00.

Don't do the Gatlingurg thing without having a steak at The Peddlar. One of the treats I really look forward to every time I go up there.
Cherokee Grill does a good job in Gatlinburg as well...

The Peddlar is good. We also eat at Maxwell's Beef & Seafood House in Gatlinburg as well. However, my favorite steak in Gatlinburg has to be The Alamo. The Filet is awesome, and add a fried lobster tail to it. :good!:

Ruth's Chris is very good, but if you are ever in Atlanta, go to Bones. Far better than Ruth's Chris, IMO. You won't be disappointed by either.

Knoxville - Ye Olde Steakhouse out on Chapman Hwy. Always rated in the top 5 in Ktown.

i just read this thread. i was wondering when somebody was going to say it. remember, it's still BYOB as far as wine goes.

Locally - ME. I'm mean on the grill.

same. i rarely get steak when i go out just because i know i can do it better at home.

Local: The Butcher Shop at World's Fair Park

i need to go there. you pick your cut and cook it yourself right? do they supply seasoned meat or do you do it yourself?
