Outback has to be the best chain for steaks.

I'd say the Kobe beef at St. John's (Chattanooga), Fleming's, The Palm, Midtown Cafe, Back Inn Cafe (Chattanooga) are a few off the top of my head.

I've been to Chicago, Miami, and New York, but I don't remember eating a steak.

I'm sure the towns in Texas have some good beef, too.

i have to disagree. i for one am not a fan of outback's steaks or their food in general. i think demos' is the place to have a good steak by far.

Demo's sucks. I'm talking about Filet's and Prime Rib. I'm not talking about Flank steaks and Sirloins, and salads with carrot shavings.

I like to use 1 part red wine, 1 part worcestershire sauce and 1 part Dale's sauce, and add about 4 cloves of minced garlic as a marinade. Marinate a couple of thick Black Angus Ribeyes or N.Y. Strips overnight and throw em on a hot charcoal grill for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side depending on the thickness. Better than any steakhouse in my opinion.

Best ones I've had are Chops in Atlanta (only cause my sister worked there) and Durant's in downtown Phoenix. Had a good one around here at Schlesinger's in Newport News.

Fowlks Folley's in Memphis is great for a steak. totally agree on the Park Grill in Gatl. and also the Alamo.

Longhorns , for a chain rest., has a great steak.

Local it is a toss up between Vader's brother-in-law's house (freakin great prime rib) and the original copper cellar downstairs. I love Jimmy Kelly's in Nashville, great bacon rapped blue cheese filet-bad for the heart-good for the gut.....umm......bacon.

Here it is...Hands down...shocked me...absolute best steak ever to melt in my mouth...the ribeye at Romano's Macaroni Grill. YES...BELIEVE OR NOT...this authentic Italian marvel also has the best ribeye you will ever eat. Outback is overrated. City Range in Greenville, SC also has the best Filet Mignot I've had. The Marysville House in Marysville, MT outside Helena has the best authentic T-bone. And the best atmosphere. You get basically a barn with sliding doors. A dimly lit inside with smoke stained walls. A screen porch with a hole in the tin roof that serves as the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with atleast 8 grills and slow cookers. All cooking is done on the grill including the seafood skillet. The beans are in the slow cookers. You get a menu written on small chalk boards scattered around the walls. About 5-6 entree choices. you get served at picnic tables with plastic plates lined with western beans, corn on the cobb, and if you chose the steak a 16 oz. t-bone that hangs over the plate. Of course you can get the chicken or skillet, but you will not find a better truly traditional steak anywhere. When your done, go out back for shrimp cocktail carts, spirits, horseshoes, and just hanging out. It is of course the local social point for everyone. Most are within walking distance.
