Basilio Still Thinks Pruitt is Likely Gone

Saying something on a message board, doesn't make it true.

Like I said, I've seen zero evidence posted showing that Fulmer has been stripped of his responsibilities or authority as AD.
There never going to specifically state it and you know that. Hold a press conference and state Fulmer is the AD but we want it to be known he does not have the responsibilities to hire a HC. LOL!
Very few AD’s has the final authority in hiring a HC. They have to get it signed off by a higher-up.

So you really believe that school is going to pay Fulmer north of a million a year, and then turn around and put Donde Plowman in charge of actually making AD decisions? And that it's going to stay under wraps that she's actually the defacto AD as well as the Chancellor?

Would you be in the market for purchasing a used but in good condition bridge?

I would think at most universities a small group of donors probably have at least the same amount of influence as an AD if not more.

Basically all they need to do is threaten to stop sending checks

Pruitt 100% has to shoulder most of the blame but if you had told us last year we'd walk into 2021 with Garner, Steele, Ansley and Pruitt as defensive coaches. We would all say yes. We have to make some offensive adjustments and join 2021 football though. Pruitt has to delegate and let coaches coach.

If that occurs, JP is the luckiest SOB this side of a powerball winner. He had absolutely nothing to do with getting Steele, Garner, Bryant or any other Auburn guys. Zippo

Really expected things to come to a head today since there's a team meeting tomorrow. With Henry T and Pope returning and not firing today, it's starting to look like UT will bring Pruitt back next year with a different staff. If so, I hope it works out, but I remain a skeptic.

4 years with 3 different staffs and a losing record. Sounds like a winning recipe to me.

I’ve seen ZERO evidence of any of the speculation on this board. The only evidence we have is Jeremy Pruitt being a terrible head coach.

Never approached by either place. Don’t listen to what Dennis “friend of Hugh and desperate for approval like Hugh” Dodd had to say on the subject.

You think Ray Tanner and Bob Caslen are hiring Hugh Freeze? 😂
Regardless, Hugh wouldn’t entertain either job

Read their posts(VN members I gave you) and make up your own mind.

I did, and I have. Nothing they have posted is reflected in any corroborable evidence that Fulmer has been reduced to an overpaid figurehead with no power or authority to act as AD.

I seriously doubt that Fulmer would accept that occuring given his ego; he'd most likely resign first.

If only we would be so lucky

You are misrepresenting my post a little bit or you misread it. I was speaking specifically about a HC hire. Fulmer has to check with Plowman and Boyd who to interview and they make the decision to hire a HC. Look at the Steele hire. I believe the official release came from Plowman’s office if I remember correctly.

I understand your point but seldom things are kept quiet with today’s social media.

Kevin Steele was announced via Tennessee Athletics, not the Donde Plowman's office.

Again, there has been no evidence posted stating that Fulmer has had any ability to hire/fire stripped form him as AD, or that he has any additional constraints on his authority, that previous ADs did not have as well.

I saw a release from Plowmans office posted here. Other than the insiders mentioned here who seem to know a little about what they are talking about. Are you stating Fulmer has final say in hiring coaches? Very few AD’s have that power.

Fulmer has the same say in hiring coaches that Curried had, that Hart had, and that Hamilton had when they held the position of AD.
