Also, I heard Currie has a $ 5 mil buyout. They literally can't fire him, keep a war chest for new coach and staff, and keep some in reserve in case they have to pay Schiano something for Currie's f___ up! Jimmy Haslam needs to be ripped a new one over his meddling. Currie is his guy, and there is NO Big 5 sitting coach that is going to come to UT with Currie at the helm.
Its because he wants to be GM of the Cleveland Browns so hes going to be Haslams yes man to ensure he gets it. Hes becoming a sell out sounds like to me.
I read somewhere thought that Peyton is angling for a front office job with the Browns.
That could be the angle.
Lets Get loud at the game and lets light up social media to get this man out of here. He shouldnt be able to force a hire down our throat to save his job.
I keep seeing people post this and it doesn't hold water. If Peyton wants to be an NFL GM he has more than enough equity built up that a franchise with much more component ownership would be willing to give him a chance. Theres no need for him to bow down to Haslam
lol there is no one left to tell us "no". Give it up. Kiffin is not coming here. Tee is to raw and we would be setting him up to fail before his career even begins. Petersen is not leaving the Great North West. Brohm is evidently not the guy. Cutcliff has already said "not no" but "hell no" the same with Gundy. Morris is out (nobody wanted him either). Charlie Strong is a nonstarter. If Scaino's baggage was to much Petrino's is, well, just as bad. Campbell is a non-starter. Running out of candidates rapidly. The only big name out there crazy enough to take it is Leeach and unfortunately, he sued his previous employer sooooo. This guy may be our only choice. It is what it is.
Oh, and Miles is Fulmer 2.0. Sumlin would probably give it a look, but he's a West of the Mississippi man and just got fired.
Social media Lynch mobs started this fiasco
