Basilio reporting now 6:15

I don't understand why Fulmer isn't AD -- unless he's got a beef with Jimmy, but even Jimmy should understand what is best for the university. Then again, he is the Brown's owner, and we see how much he cares about that program.

He should be running the show period!

Also, I heard Currie has a $ 5 mil buyout. They literally can't fire him, keep a war chest for new coach and staff, and keep some in reserve in case they have to pay Schiano something for Currie's f___ up! Jimmy Haslam needs to be ripped a new one over his meddling. Currie is his guy, and there is NO Big 5 sitting coach that is going to come to UT with Currie at the helm.

Then they should lock his ass in a closet or something..... put him somewhere he cannot do anymore damage.... let him lick envelops or take out the trash

It’s because he wants to be GM of the Cleveland Browns so he’s going to be Haslam’s yes man to ensure he gets it. He’s becoming a sell out sounds like to me.

I keep seeing people post this and it doesn't hold water. If Peyton wants to be an NFL GM he has more than enough equity built up that a franchise with much more component ownership would be willing to give him a chance. Theres no need for him to bow down to Haslam

I read somewhere thought that Peyton is angling for a front office job with the Browns.

That could be the angle.

Peyton's VFL status is definitely up for discussion. He seems to be supporting Haslam from most of the stories we are getting. I assume that's because he thinks Haslam is his best shot to get an High Level front office position....either with him, or with one of Haslams buddies. At this point, I could give 2 sh*ts about Manning. If all this stuff is true, if I had my way we would be renaming a certain street to Witten Way.

Let’s Get loud at the game and let’s light up social media to get this man out of here. He shouldn’t be able to force a hire down our throat to save his job.

He's gonna try and the NCSU coach will get pounded in the SEC. I'm telling ya long before it happens. UT needs to hold off on the hire and interview more qualified candidates after the championship weekend. This is a panic rush hire that the fans aren't gonna like.

Apparently PM and J.Haslam have something cooking together because PM checked off on the Schiano hire. They may win a battle up front but the fans and players hold the high ground and upperhand over time. We just have to stay united in our effort against Haslam.

lol there is no one left to tell us "no". Give it up. Kiffin is not coming here. Tee is to raw and we would be setting him up to fail before his career even begins. Petersen is not leaving the Great North West. Brohm is evidently not the guy. Cutcliff has already said "not no" but "hell no" the same with Gundy. Morris is out (nobody wanted him either). Charlie Strong is a nonstarter. If Scaino's baggage was to much Petrino's is, well, just as bad. Campbell is a non-starter. Running out of candidates rapidly. The only big name out there crazy enough to take it is Leeach and unfortunately, he sued his previous employer sooooo. This guy may be our only choice. It is what it is.

Oh, and Miles is Fulmer 2.0. Sumlin would probably give it a look, but he's a West of the Mississippi man and just got fired.

Wouldn’t we take a Fulmer 2.0 or give a Kiffin or Tee a shot before we hire a coach probably worse than Butch Jones Dooley 2.0?

No. The dumbass Schiano hire (self imposed death penalty) started this fiasco. Social lynch mobs did not hire Greg Schiano.

Both statements are true. Hiring Schiano started this mess and the social lynch mob made it worst. Enjoy your new head coach, whoever that may be.

Social media Lynch mobs started this fiasco

This fiasco officially began with the decision to lead off with Greg Schiano. There was no reason for him to be the only target. If they want to go with the middle tier coach that isn't established then there's plenty to pick from that have zero controversy around them.

If Tennessee was serious about having the best football team they can, you don't lead off with Schiano.

So the Schiano hire should have been completed? Is that what you wanted? Honest question - trying to understand the mindset
