I am all about being a positive Vol fan, but the title of this thread is pretty self explanatory.

I hate it when Dooley bashers come into a thread that is titled something like "Dooley is a good hire" so why is it ok in reverse??

No matter what the title is on any thread, it always turns into a Kiffin Vs. Dooley thread or a Fulmer Vs. Kiffin thread or a you're not a fan because blank thread. Or a variation of one of these.

That is a good point. I still don't understand the position of AD, in that aspect. If the members of the board or the boosters want to make the decision, why hire an AD to make the decisions?

I just can't get excited about Dooley being our coach. I'm excited to watch football in a few months. But this Dooley thing...man...I'm just "bleh" about it. I didn't really want another clown like Kiffin, but at least we could've got someone with a winning record. It's definitely his name, too. Derek. Dooley. Sounds more like a guy that would sell insurance, rather than be the head coach of the vols.

You still havent told us who deserves to be the coach here, from what I could tell every big name MH went after turned him down.You are complaining but you never said who the coach is MH a should of hired.
I wasnt impressed with the hire but Im not going to set here and bash DD , I didnt have a say so in the hire ,Im not a big time booster and neither or you and DD is the coach here and complaining about it is doing nobody any good.You can get behind him and hope for the best or you cant set around and be misserable.

The only thing that he has done negatively is had a bad last year at Louisiana Tech, but I do not want to get into that argument again. He worked hard and improved the team he was at.

It sucks that he lost his last year, and it's a big negative. But if you look past that and look at the overall improvement, it's fairly positive from a program that has hardly had anything positive come from there.

He improved the program by making them more disciplined. Their overall defense, and special teams numbers increased every year he was there. But, eh, those are just facts and no one cares about those.
