Bash Dooley here....

He improved the program by making them more disciplined. Their overall defense, and special teams numbers increased every year he was there. But, eh, those are just facts and no one cares about those.

If we're going to talk about Dooley succeeding, talking about his "numbers" at La. Tech isn't going to convince anyone. What you ought to be touting is his success recruiting at LSU and time as an assistant in the NFL. Those are the bright spots on his resume.

Maybe cheer for a team that meets your lofty expectations. One with a coach that meets your expectations, and that you recommend. Because you are obviously a highly evolved fan that deserves better than UT.

whats funny about this loftonfor3 is he loves to complain but he cant name the coach he thinks should be hired at tn ,He has no clue what he talking about ,he is probably still mad because Sanders wasnt offered the job.

Those are bright spots as well. I just think the things he has done as a HC should carry more weight than as an assistant.

And on that note, I'm just going to sit back and listen...

You still havent told us who deserves to be the coach here, from what I could tell every big name MH went after turned him down. You are complaining but you never said who the coach is MH a should of hired.
I wasnt impressed with the hire but Im not going to set here and bash DD , I didnt have a say so in the hire ,Im not a big time booster and neither or you and DD is the coach here and complaining about it is doing nobody any good. You can get behind him and hope for the best or you cant set around and be misserable.

Well you came the the wrong thread, pal.

But I think we all hope for the best from this guy, we just realize he's probably going to suck. But as long as UT fields a team I think 99% of VolNation is good to go.

Just to clarify, I wouldn't care who we got, as long as they were winners. CDD hasn't shown that.

Unfortunately, that's true. But I like trying to be optimistic.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm optimistic. I hope he can be as skillful of a recruit here as he was at LSU. It's just me personally, I am more excited about him bringing much needed discipline to this group of guys.

Yes, Lofton is a huge fan of Fulmer and the dumbasses he employed (excluding Cutcliffe).

I hold Randy Sanders' coaching ability in the same regard as I do your ability to have a rational thought.

The guy at Auburn didn't do much at Iowa State as a head coach but people seem to be happy with him....and he seems to be finding ways to recruit against Alabama and Florida and LSU...

If he has an identical season or better in year three, like he should have without the injuries, it's a completely different story. He was improving the team, there is no denying that. But I guess it's easier to look at a w/l record than to look at stats.

I'm not saying that because of this he will succeed. I'm just saying; I don't think he is grossly unqualified like most would like to thing.

Skip back a few pages. That's already been discussed.

Like raising the team's GPA? Or no arrests in the off-season?

I seen where you posted you writes checks to Tn every year ? and you didnt have a say so in the hire ? are your checks still bouncing down Phil Fulmer drive ?
I cant believe that a person like you that knows whats best for this program that they didnt even consult with you first before they hired DD.

No, discipline on the field. I highly respect the strides Kiffin made with discipline off the field. But I still think there were to many flags and too many missed tackles on the field.

Wasn't Tennessee one of the least penalized teams in the SEC?

The convenience store robbery? I'm not sold on Kiffin's off the field discipline either.
