I dont like the offense we had in the Spring Game but other than that I think he is doing alright.

Since you know whats best for the program then tell everybody who they should of hired ? If the hire was so bad then why didnt you take your checkbook out and hire us a coach who deserves to be here.

No. But I do believe that the average coach lasts less than 5 years with no titles. Nowhere did i say that all coaches have the same chance at success.

I just got on the site at the end of this season and was enjoying the heck out of it even with the Kiff debacle. Now it's the same rebranded crap over and over. If Hatvol and the rest are right we won't have to deal with DD after 2 years max. The way they'd describe it we hired Barney Fife who's only claim to fame is Andy (Saban) kept him out of kidness. Don't know about any of you but I don't believe Saban keeps people out of kidness and he kept DD on the payroll the longest. So the question left is do you excuse his LaTech record? If you don't then stop trying to inform the rest of us why we shouldn't and we won't try to convert you. If by the FL game it's blatantly obvious one side may be wrong then we can reopen the debate.

In this situation, I'd have to agree. Like I've said before, I'm not necessarily writing Dooley off as a bad coach, but I have no reason, at the moment, to believe he can win big here.

no argument there. we need a recruiter to get the talent back and thats where my primary concern is.

If this turned out to be a Zook type hire, (recruits well for 3 years and is gone) I can't really be too upset with how this mess turned out.

i understand we need to give him time but if he only wins one or two games this year i want him gone. even with our problems, 4 wins should be attainable if not 5 at the least.

1 or 2 wins? Seriously? That thought has never crossed my mind and i sure as hell hope it hasn't crossed anybody's else's besides yours.

We will know for sure by November 27th. Until then, it's all opinion. And I'm not sure what saying Dooley isn't going to win games does for us, aren't we UT fans? Don't we want them to win games? If we predict Dooley failing then we predict our Vols failing. I may not be fully on board with this hire but I'm not going to say "I told you so" when we have a ****ty season. I want the best for this team, no matter the coach and his record in the Wack conference

Who says I want him to fail? I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong. And I certainly won't be saying I told you so if I'm right, because if I'm right, that means UT is sucking. Why would that make me happy?

yea...look at his 09 season at LaTech...losing to #5 Boise State 45-35 and #11 LSU 24-16...what a disgrace given all the multi-star talent he had at his fingertips (rolling eyes)....

It was a generalized statement to the folks who repeatedly get a kick out of saying that Dooley will fail, not necessarily a shot at you
