Your guy(s) participated in a murder and you thought it was ok to go along business as usual?

I don’t care that charges haven’t been made, that is a whole other story. This wasn’t wrong place, wrong time. His act created the wrong place, wrong time. Is this another one of those we disciplined “internally”? UA is an effing bad joke.

Yeah well, isn't it CONVENIENT that it wasn't Miller's gun?? Let's see an investigation into THAT. (Obviously from Law Enforcement outside Tuscaloosa or ALABAMA even) This whole thing reeks to Hell and back.

Neither Player should be playing and Miller taking a gun to a intoxicated friend at a night club that late sure he can be charged with a gun felony charge it doesn't matter if it's not his. The family will bring a major civil suit because if Miller does not bring the gun and he and Bradley do not block road then there is no shooting at all. Very Sad Nate Oats comments this University should and most likely will be scrutinized by National Media that will result in both players playing careers done at Bama. Pressure on DA to charge them especially Miller will likely come as well. It all Stinks. In CHRIST Alone.

I think a lot of folks, mainly Bammers of course, are trying to keep this situation out in the weeds. "It wasn't Miller's gun." "He didn't know what was going to happen." "He wasn't involved in the altercation." That's not the damn point.

The POINT is this - Do these guys represent Alabama athletics? Did they conduct themselves appropriately? Is what they did representative of the standard for Alabama athletes?

The answer to anyone with common sense would be "hell no." That is why they shouldn't be playing basketball for Alabama. Most schools have suspended or removed players for much less. But apparently, for Nate Oats and friends, the answer is "hell yeah they represent Alabama athletics." That is an absolute and utter joke, and it tells us something about both the Alabama athletic department and Nate Oats.

It was his own teammate to top it all off. Your teammate asks for a gun and your first response is "lol no problem, I'm OMW!"?

This speaks to a massive culture problem within that program. My suspicion is that Oats is win at all costs, don't give a damn about leadership or teambuilding or cultivating men kind of guy. If you are as highly coveted as Miller, would you not think to yourself "my teammate is asking for a gun, maybe I should refuse and let someone know"? That to me says there's a lack of leadership in that building and much more beneath the surface than we can imagine.

Like I said earlier, I used to think Oats was one of the best, if not the best, coaches in the country. (Tough situation to be in, especially since he's in Crimson now.) But no more. I wouldn't provide dirty water to the guy if he were on fire now.

Reading more about it, it gets even worse. Miller didn't just randomly loan him a gun, he brought it to him while the conflict was ongoing. And it looks like he may have blocked in the victims Jeep to keep them from leaving the scene.

And all because a young woman told this POS murderer that she didn't want to talk to him. What an absolute senseless and horrible tragedy.

Next statement will be from the University that “currently he has not been found to be responsible by the legal process. If his legal status would change then his status on the team would be reevaluated”.

This will give the DA time to convene a grand jury and drop the indictment the day after the tournaments are over.

So, D Miles, a backup player for UGump already out for the season with an injury, was arrested for abetting a capital murder and booted off the team for owning the gun used to kill the young mom, and arranging to have it brought to the shooter/killer.

And B Miller, the All American for UGump who actually brought the gun to the murder scene, and parked his vehicle partially blocking the victims’ vehicle exit path, gets a free pass from UGump Coach/Admin & Gumpville PD & DA to continue balling, since boys will be boys and he has a great jump shot.

Reports show Miles already at the scene and creating the confrontation leading to the murder, while Miller was just the gunrunner who parked his vehicle in the victims’ exit path. Not weighing in on the legal side, but I don’t believe a program & school with CLASS would give Miller a full pass, even with his jump shot. The young mom would still be alive if not for Miller’s actions.

Good point about where the gun had been kept. Miller's a freshman so do UA rules say he must live in campus? It looks like possession of a firearm on campus by a student, or what passes for one at UA, can be grounds for expulsion.

Police say Alabama star Brandon Miller delivered gun to former teammate Darius Miles before shooting

"Alabama's Jaden Bradley was also allegedly at the scene of the shooting when it happened and Miller's car is also to be said to be one of two that were blocking the road the car that contained Harris was on. Police said that dash cam from Miller's car also captured part of the incident. "

I wonder about Miller and Bradley's vehicles both reportedly blocking the victim's car from leaving and how that isn't an issue legally.
