Bailey MUST start against Kentucky

There has to be something else going on. Nobody on the roster can be worse than what we saw today. I know Fulmer doesn't care what happens this year and that's why he gave the two year extension before the season started. But fans and recruits care. Pruitt is risking making people believe that he's not putting the team in the best position to win and that is not a sustainable place for any head coach to dwell for very long no matter what their pedigree or contract says.

KY was the 120 yard quarter. IU he was in for one drive that lead to points that ended up being the most critical points of the day and Miss St didn’t have an answer for him on the ground or in the air. The kid literally made 2 “bad” decisions that game and people like you make it out as a habit.
u love to lie.

ky, he couldn't complete passes. his play was trash
miss st....ints
iu.....throwing into double coverage more than once

I think mauer has the most potential outside of bailey and I would like to see him get more than one half of football on him to judge

Highlight the “lie”. He was coming off of injury for UK and was obviously rusty but he did have a solid second quarter where he passed for 98 and ran for 20. That’s 118 yards of offense in a qtr. because he didn’t have a single yard in the first. If 118 yards in 1 quarter alone is “trash”, you may ask Pruitt for a job evaluating qbs.

All you have is TWO plays to stand on your opinion that he’s worse than JG and both were in one game vs Miss st. Otherwise he absolutely abused them unlike anything we’ve ever seen from JG vs ANY team.

IU was a game he wasn’t prepared to play in but how happy were you that he completed his first pass and escaped pressure for the 8 yard gain that pit is in FG range?

If they come out flat against UK then I think we will see a change. No excuse for JG to play this bad as a 5th year senior. His turnovers completely destroyed our teams confidence.
Every year I hear the same things. “JG shouldn’t be this bad as a RS sophomore (2018)” “JG shouldn’t be this bad as a RS junior (2019)” now here we are saying the same thing in 2020. Bottom line is until Pruitt realizes he needs a change, which seems to be lagging far behind, JG will be granted a leash as long as this country is wide. Name one other QB on our roster that wouldn’t have been pulled by turn over 2 and I’ll apologize for thinking this is just personal.

I don't know. JG gives us the best chance to win against teams that we have way more talent than, that are better and zero chance to win against Bama and Florida.

I tend to agree. In this crazy year.. Use it as an opportunity to see your other options. Might lose a game because of it, but oh well.
You have absolutely 0 proof of this!
Both of last year’s backups had practically 0 game experience. There is a possibility that it could be like night and day when it comes to their readiness this year

I agree with what your saying and I honestly don't know as to why JG is still getting the opportunities he is. Don't know what you have until you actually give other players opportunity.

Although he did look good in first half. JG did lose the game for us!
I am still trying to figure out how he looked good in the first half? Because Palmer made a great adjustment on an underthrown ball? Or the foot drag catch that saved a TD? Literally other than those 2 plays where did he look good?

Doesn't matter if O line plays like it did today.
How can you blame the oline? They can't block 8 defensive players stacking the box because JG can't get rid of the ball and holds it too long. Nobody respects JG as a threat. There is a reason we have a hard time running the ball. All other coaches know how to defend JG.

why in the hell are people talking like jg even has the opportunity to play another year here...hes 60 years old and has always sucked royal ass..you can still red shirt having played a minimum of 4 games..pruitt is being a typical tennessee head coach and making horrible decisions that is continuing to set our team back...start the best quaterback for phuuuuuuucks sake! JUAN JENNINGS WAS LITERALLY A BETER QUATERBACK THAN GAURANDOOODIE!

Hopefully Bailey, Shrout, or Mauer play well enough at todays scrimmage to earn the start next week.

Yall know he's not even the backup right?
This ^^^^^
Words I hear from some who have actually witnessed several practices and seen the guy in person are "he's terrible" and "he's 4th string for a reason."
Not what I wanted to hear, and hopefully it's just growing pains.

UGA is just a great team and JG hasn't really done anything against great teams in his time at Tennessee.

He's had some great games against good teams, but not nothing against great teams.

I do not understand Pruitt not getting Maurer or Shrout or Bailey mop up time here.
Gonna be optimistic here, could it be that JP knows that this was JG last game at the Helm so he figured he would let him ride it out? lol **fingers crossed**

I would prefer to wait until after Bama to play Bailey. This year to me is a wash, but want him to be successful as well.

I watched HB several times live his senior year in Hs and I’ve been telling everyone for the past year now that their expectations of him are too high and they’re setting themselves up for disappointment. There is a reason he didn’t do well at The Opening last year when the talent was equaled out. Now I wasn’t there to witness why but I know people that were and the most positive feedback I got was “5*? Idk about that.”.

Like it or not he’s not the most talented qb on the roster no matter what the rank said. His best chance vs that qb room is to be mentally sharper than the others because physically he can’t compete.

If HB isn't the 5 star stud we have been led to believe then we are seriously behind everyone else in recruiting. Look how many stud...prolific QBs there are in the SEC. Almost EVERY school has one and they aren't all 5 stars....yet UT trots out these game managing low grade QBs like its the 1970s. Its a new offensive era and we are stuck in a bygone time. Even MAC schools and conference usa get it. This isn't a grind it out league anymore. Bama is scoring 63 points and giving up 48...but that's how it's game planned now. It amazes me a program W the money and resources of UT still don't get it. GA is playing a 3 star nobody who totally outplayed our long term starter. We aren't gonna win many games scoring 14 offensive points. I know..."its big bad Georgia..lets all be scared". Our chance for winning yesterday hinged on being stout on defense and game managing our way to a close win. Our offense is the 1970 Redskins. That's not how its done in today's day and age. Someone show Pruitt a calendar. Every other team in the SEC has a chance to comeback from a 9 point deficit...quickly. We have literally no chance in hell. What does that tell you?
