Bailey MUST start against Kentucky

According to Basilio, our staff doesn't seem to be all that thrilled with any of the other QB's on the roster. Think he said they just don't like any of them. He questioned why you sign kids you don't like. Not sure how much stock I put into this as it is coming from Basilio, but it might explain why they keep turning to JG despite his performances.
I 100% believe that. We have seen them all except Bailey. HB just hasn’t gotten the time to prepare after getting caught up in contact tracing early on.

So through how many different OL’s have we had the same issue?

Many! We haven’t had a solid OL coach in a long time. Last three OLs and RBs have had the same OL coach. I will also say this, we have had ONE really good S&C coach since we fired the guy who clearly made a difference for BJ. JG was on fire early... he ie fully capable given the time.

I've got a question and don't know the answer.. So basically if this year doesn't count... Would someone lose a year of eligibility if they did play.. In reference to losing a red shirt rule

I have to say, I've been the leader of the JG isn't THAT bad bandwagon. I don't even think today was entirely on him with the abysmal performance by our offensive line.

HOWEVER, I am finding it hard to get excited about the rest of the season if he is still our QB, which he almost certainly will be. We're getting murdered by good teams in YEAR 3. I'm sorry, but I just can't get excited about anything with him at QB anymore. Even if he gives us the best chance at 6-4, so what? What about 6-4 is exciting?

Time to play someone else and just see what the hell happens.

Got to remember, we will not see another defense anywhere as good as Georgia's...They play a 3-3-5, and when you can't run the ball they have 5, maybe more in coverage. Not too many teams are going to score more than 21 points on this defense. Just got to put this game behind us get ready for Kentucky. Hopefully this game makes everybody realize that they have to step up their play and coaching...

3-3-5 base ? Did Pruitt ever run a 3-3-5? I guess you have to have studs to do it.

Thank goodness we have coaches lol.

Message board be putting in the backups every week. In this case, not even QB2 😭

Just wow

You sign who you can at some point. You can't sign the #1 guy every time like you want. Imo Chaney wanted Haynes King...more of a runner/dynamic guy like Salter...he will get his type guys in here and run what he really wants the next few years.

Watching many of the Sec games this afternoon and evening. Every team has a Qb who is significantly better than JG. All of them are better and it’s not even close.

Costello, Wilson from KY, Vandy's QB, Nix, Franks, Hill? I don't know about that. I think we can say JG is in the middle of all SEC QBs...

Well, you certainly have to have the beef up front...That's where it all starts. Looks like to me we run a 4-2-5, with both LBs inside and that's why it's easy to run wide on Tennessee. I personally don't like the positioning of our LBs, but it is what it is...

It is my understanding that Bailey has been less than impressive in practice... Why would JP and Chaney continue to play JG if he is not the best qb ? Ridiculous to think otherwise. OL continues to be overmatched when playing against quality defenses. No place to run, no time to throw, and no receivers beating coverage - the offensive trifecta!
