Bailey MUST start against Kentucky

Many! We haven’t had a solid OL coach in a long time. Last three OLs and RBs have had the same OL coach. I will also say this, we have had ONE really good S&C coach since we fired the guy who clearly made a difference for BJ. JG was on fire early... he ie fully capable given the time.
He is not capable. He in most games will not be decisive and pull the trigger when it is needed. His most success comes from high arching throws that allow the receiver to out work the DB for the catch. Happened in Auburn in two years ago and happened in the first half of today. That is all he had. He is a one dimensional Qb who throws late and is inaccurate and does not have the intuitive sense that good Qb’s have when pressured.

It doesn't matter anymore. Not because we lost the game, but how we lost the game. Until proven otherwise, this team will never be able to get out of its own way rather it's talent/depth, or coaching/play calling. It's pretty rediculous at this point.

We are close. The first half today proved it.

UGA is just a great team and JG hasn't really done anything against great teams in his time at Tennessee.

He's had some great games against good teams, but not nothing against great teams.

I do not understand Pruitt not getting Maurer or Shrout or Bailey mop up time here.
Same could be said for Mond and A&M, oh wait...a team that barely scraped by Vandy beat #4 FL. We still have to play them too. Oh joy!

Why would he do that? He's one play away from being the man...IF JG can't make it work, Shrout will certainly get his chance...
I think coach proved today that's not true. He isn't benching JG for any amount of INTs or fumbles or anything else.

You see these prolific QBs out there like Trask...Mond...Mac Jones...Heck the Mizzou QB today. The ole miss QB...etc etc...and JG is no where NEAR these guys as far as being prolific. Why should UT of all schools settle for this lameness? For as rifle of an arm he has...he doesn't sling it at all. Our offense is like being in quicksand compared to these other programs. He is like an anvil around our neck. This isn't 1945. Its not entirely his fault...but QB is the most important position in football and JG is just weak...lame and boring compared to these other QBs. Imagine what our receivers would do with a truly prolific QB. The kind you see these other programs working with. Why do the Vols settle for this lameness?

BM is worse than what many claim JG is, yet.......
BM was a raw freshman last year and did not get many opportunities after the Ga game. Both Maurer and Shrout should be rotated with JG. One or both of them may be the spark we need. Let the “ in game” competition begin. We are not winning the East now so it’s time to see what we have. We can still have a good season and keep building the foundation for next year and beyond. 8-2 or 7-3 is a realistic finish for us this year.

I remember last year when we started maurer and the offensive playbook opened up tremendously. RPOs, quick passing game across the middle and designed QB runs came Into effect. With JG you have pretty much none of that. He limits are team more than helps us.

Fulmer as coach preached 'you stay/you play.' Sticking with Bailey JG is exactly what Fulmer would do and Pruitt is smart enough to know what side of his bread the butter is on.

Shrout and JG. BM's time is up on Rocky Top! he's a gunslinger. he's proven it to pruitt over and over, including the bowl game.

I know. The coaches know that too.

Can you name a game that Maurer showed he was worse? Because from what I remember he torched that very same defense in his first start. Dismantled Miss St and went toe to toe with Alabama. His worst game was UK where he accounted for a 120 yd QUARTER. Let that sink in..... his WORST game he was on pace to account for 360 yards of total offense and your opinion is he is worse than JG? This isn’t golf buddy. High score wins in this game.

ky, iu, miss st,

ky, iu, miss st,
KY was the 120 yard quarter. IU he was in for one drive that lead to points that ended up being the most critical points of the day and Miss St didn’t have an answer for him on the ground or in the air. The kid literally made 2 “bad” decisions that game and people like you make it out as a habit.
