Automobilia etc....

So much for hoping for a resurrection of the FJ or something to compete with the Wrangler.

FT-4X was a disappointment...to say the least. And I'm someone that loves Toyota.

For all you muscle car lovers... Dodge is releasing the 2018 Challenger SRT DEMON in 2018.. It has 840 HP and can go from 0-60 in 2.3 secs and the quarter at 140 MPH in 9.65.. Pricing has yet to be announced... I would think maybe 60-70K or maybe more... only 3000 to be made.....Seems like a dragster at your local dealer

The Hellcat already runs in that price range. It'll be more like 90-100k, IMO. Maybe more than that after the inevitable dealer markups.

Chevy has the Chevy camaro exorcist coming supposedly 1000 horsepower

Not Chevy, Hennessey, which means it may never really see the streets and if it does, it will be a ticking time bomb. That's not a knock on Chevy, but Hennessey. Just search the internet if you don't already know why.

Hennessey are the biggest bunch of crooks out there. I hope our President has a keen eye on shady businesses. If he does, then Hennessy will be put out to pasture.

Crooks is being nice!!

As far as the Demon, you can guarantee they will be $90+k. I also read they were only making 3000, which means there will be a lot of dealer mark up.

How do I launch my car from a stand still? I'm ready to have some fun:)

This order:

Turn off traction control
Clutch in
1st gear
Rev engine to 1500-3000 (depends on the car)
Quickly release clutch.

Woosh.

Pray you didn't break anything. Some rear differentials are stronger than others. The one in my Honda is known to destroy itself if you launch it. Your Chevy should be up to the task, but I'm not liable for anything that goes wrong!

😮

it'll be fine I'm sure it's built for this stuff thanks by the way. It has a thing on it called launch control but idk what that does or how to use it

The launch control will allow you to have your foot matted to the floor during the rev phase and it will hold the engine speed to a specific rpm. Check the camaro forums or your owner's manual for instructions on how to use it.

If it's like the Corvette, it's pretty easy. I select Track Mode, make sure the wheels are pointed straight, clutch in, 1st gear, foot off the brake and then floor the gas. The car limits the RPMs at 4000 and holds it there until I dump the clutch. Then it manages wheelspin on its own and off you go.

Be ready to shift.
