Automobilia etc....

Did you flip it up on its side when you let the clutch out the first time? Slower on the clutch release next time, and a little less throttle.

Day 1 of manual training I'd give it a C. I'm struggling to take off I've gotten to the point I can take off but it takes me a little bit to get going in other words cars behind me will be cussing me at Red lights haha

I killed mine today on a hill, and it's been a while since I've done that. And I have 50 years seat time in a manual.

Ended up buying a 2017 ss camaro instead of 16 :)

you definitely want the ATS platform version - not sure if the 16s fit that or not.

Looks great - you'll never regret learning a manual transmission. never, ever, ever, ever, ever. It is the absolute last hold out of feeling the ride.

I've been told it's the absolute best it's just frustrating at first. I'm in the frustration faze haha

Here's a couple of things I did when I taught my son how to drive a manual:

1. On level ground, start in first gear, slowly release the clutch until you're moving, keep your foot off the accelerator pedal. Shift gears, letting the car's torque provide the acceleration. This teaches you where the clutch engages/disengages.

2. For hill starts, don't use an intersection. Find a street with a small incline, come to a complete stop and practice starting out in first gear. Repeat as necessary.

Industrial parks are good places to learn. They are largely empty on weekends. There are a couple off Middlebrook Pike where I taught both my sons how to drive.

Wtf? Rev it up to 3k rpm's and pop the clutch.

Yesterday I was giving gas while letting off of the clutch. Today I'm going to give no gas and see what my cars biting point is, other words where the clutch has to be for it to begin rolling forward. Once Im able to do it quicker I'll add gas

16 is the ATS platform.

I have not, but the Quadrifoglio looks like a fast ride.

Yes, I should have specified that model. Curious to read more on the aforementioned design flaws. Most early reviews I've seen ranked it over the comparable Benz AMG and M series Bimmer.
