Automobilia etc....

IIRC it could theoretically jiggle loose and turn off the car while driving (which means power steering and brakes shut down).

I had issues on occasion where mine would shut off but it only happened when it was idling/stopped, like at Stop signs, etc. Do you think that could have been the cause?

The lil dude that checked my car in at the dealership said no, but I didn't really trust him for some reason.

I need some advice guys.. A few weeks ago my expedition just shut off, like it ran out of gas or something.. I thought it was the fuel pump because u couldn't hear it kick on with the key on, so I had it towed to a shop where they said it was a bad fuel pump. I had them replace it, and then got a call saying it still wasn't working and they are 90% sure it's the fuse box which will be another $6-700. They said they can bypass the system and turn the pump on, but it wouldn't be safe to drive it that way.

I've never dealt with this garage before this, and I'm kinda uneasy about forking over that much money again without other opinions. Seems weird to me that I had a bad pump AND fuse box, but he says the old pump was def bad. I just don't know enough about this stuff.

What should I do next?

pick it up and go somewhere else, no way do I go with an option that would bypass the system/fuse

Lord help, he was about 70. And I think he was lying. Since I took it in it hasn't done it, or even felt like it was going to do it. Love my heart I was sick as a dog that day, I didn't care what they did as long as they hurried, honestly.

if he was 70, or about that old, definitely smitten
don't trust anything he said

LULZ

I wasn't very charming that day. I had had a phenegran and really just wanted to curl up in the waiting room chairs n let that little magic pill overtake me

Take it to National Tire and Auto on Clinton Highway (next to the new Popeye's). They will not do any work that isn't necessary and they won't lie to you.

Is that Boas shop? I've had work done across the street at marks before.

He wouldn't wire it up that way for me to use..he just did that to move it out of the bay so they didn't have to push it. I'm just not sure if he diagnosed it right. I'm tired of throwing money at it.

Anyone know anything about the P.A.L.S. locator service?

I know there's a decent premium involved, but given my experiences over the last few months, I'm considering it.

....and poor Z06.

my new commuter car...

2006 Mini Cooper S

Got several things on order for it.
1) JCW Black Grill
2) Black racing stripes for the bonnet
3) When the grill and racing stripes are being put on, I'm having the wheels powder coated a glossy black.
