Attention: Lane Kiffin proponents

Is that you Paul?

No, but just like the guy above you, I love Option football, and it just gets on my last nerve when people start spouting off crap about how it's a fad. The option, and its many variations, has been/is/will always be a stable in college football, and when run correctly, is the best offense in the country. I would absolutely love for UT to get a coach like PJ, and just like Eric Crouch and Nebraska, line up every weekend with all intentions of running the ball down our opponents throats and knowing they can't do a thing to stop it.

Gruden would be the best hire..hes the nasty freak id want to have stare across the field at the other SEC coaches..hed bring toughness and a mean streak back to Tennessee

I agree. Opposing coaches might actually not want to play us b/c they wouldn't be able to predict every play of our O and our players would be more motivated, better coached, etc. its a no brainer IMO. Paul Johnson?? are you kidding? its a good O to an extent. he ran it at navy b/c it was a great equalizer and b/c of Navy's lack of talent. Did they ever play a good SEC defense? No i cant remember a time... I would love to see Navy or GA tech run the triple Option against LSU,auburn, BAMA, hell even UT. It doesn't work great against fast disciplined D's. It's also very difficult to come from behind in a game with the triple O, Ex: slow drives, ball control. one fumble and your behind the eight ball. Overall, it's a solid Offense but not one i'm ready to embrace at UT. Pro style is the way to go. Prepares players for the NFL, which is a great recruiting pitch and what 95% of players want anyways right? since they all think their NFL material. What does CPJ tell QB's??? "your gonna get your head ripped off making a pitch but the RB will gain yards from it." Only my opinion though.....
