Attention: Lane Kiffin proponents

Exactly! JaMarcus Russell hasn't improved at all under his wing in Oakland. They have 3 great running backs to get up the passing game and they can't get it going. If you ask me, Vol fans are asking for of the same if they want Kiffin in charge. I want to build an offensive juggernaut at Rocky Top. I wish we had offered the job to Dan Hawkins two years ago when he was looking to cash in after his Boise State success. That is the kind of offensive mind that we need.

Yeah, it's Kiffin's fault Russell held out for forever and didn't get to practice. From what I understand, Kiffin didn't even want to draft him. Also, it's pretty hard to say he hasn't improved when he played all of six games for Kiffin.

He is currently unemployed, which makes us easier to talk to him.

I don't think a team can contact coaches from a NFL team or from another college

What's wrong with Paul Johnson? The man has shown he can compete with crappy talent. Georgia Tech is 4-1, 2nd in the coastal division, with thier only loss to VT by 3.

If you really think that the triple option won't work, you need to have your head examined.

Paul Johnson?

The last thing UT needs is the wishbone offense.

coming from someone who is in the know about USC (not myself), we do not want Kiffin. He was pretty much hated at USC at his offense was pretty predictable. If it werent for the outstanding players he had he would have like a terrible OC. A bunch of people wanted him fired the year he took over for Chow...definitely not someone I would want as our HC

There you have it, folks.

Unless you're impressed with Kiffin's 5-15 record as a head coach. That should scare you off him.

Kiffen---total failure in the nfl, coached a bunch of superstars at USc. Why would UT hire him?

Lots of guys with more football knowledge than you or I don't think Johnson's offense can succeed against SEC defenses.

IMO Johnson's offense can work anywhere.
I don't. The difference being the specific type of athletes that work in the option. I just think it's a tough matchup in the SEC. The spread that UF ran last year worked well because their receivers were more deadly than anyone gave them credit for being.

Jimmy Johnson drew the blueprint for killing the option.

The thing is that everywhere he goes, he just teaches technique and then runs the ball at will. It's amazing. It's also a little more wide open now at Ga Tech than it was at Navy. They threw for 230 yards on Saturday.

if he can retain the ability to throw out of it, it's a great O. QBs that can effectively do both are a huge rarity.

People believed Tebow was that guy, but he really isn't.

Actually, with the way the flexbone is oriented, it's a pretty good passing offense.
