Favorite pasta dish?

Mine, Puttanesca. Derivative of whore in Italian. It's said the wonderful aroma drew the prostitutes off the street.

Why have I never tried growing garlic? I think because I would need at least an acre to grow as much as I use. These 4 that Im growing will produce enough for about 2 days. Easier to just buy them. It's cool tho.

Nice.

But you should have eaten the whole thing instead of taking a bite and putting it in with the rest.

I've got about 20 volunteer garlic plants growing in front of the porch. That's where the wife throws her veggie scraps for the deer.

And bobcats, coyote, boar, raccoons, and opossums on the regular. Eagles, peacock, otters, and mink on the occasion. Sometimes, I feel like Marlon Perkins.

Mutual of Omahs Wild Kingdom.

I got a gator in the canal behind me, you probably know this but they suck. I see Bald Eagles often but mostly armadillos, they errywhure.

Oh, and no seeums and skeeters galore. Want some? I'll be glad to catch some and send them to you. They're both bout to get in full attack mode.

When I lived n Florida, skeeters were the state bird. Small children got carried off by them on occasion..

Lol

When we lived in Mexico Beach, we had a little creek/swamp that ran behind the house. You could hear them little nippers at night.

My wife would throw food scraps over our back privacy fence. I asked her why she was doing that. She just said to keep wannabe trespassers on the other side.:) Lake placid came out a year later. Haha

They don't last long here, my neighbors have kids and are scared of them. They always call to have them removed. This one will be gone soon. If I had kids I would probably do the same. But I'd like to think I wouldn't have to, because my kids would try to catch them.

We have had a couple of gators caught close by. Armadillos are very common here now, and we have a bunch of eagles. I can do without the armoured possums and gators!

Last spring I had a little armadillo hanging around. He was about 6 inches long not including his tail. I grabbed him by the tail one morning and took him over to the neighbors to show their kids. I thought they would think it was cute and cool. They didn't. They acted like little girls. They're boys about 10 -12.

Did you know those armored rats can carry leprosy? They are fun to watch, tho.

Had a wonderful frittata yesterday for breakfast.

I will braise venison shoulder or haunch. Certain other cuts must be grilled rare to medium rare.

Even though eggs no longer agree with me, I would suffer the consequences for deviled eggs. And yes, in the past, I've made uncountable varieties of deviled eggs, even one with smoked salmon and capers. :hi: Behr is onto something with this idea. Y'all should try it.

Behr posts the truth of Alfredo, and without reading his post, I am compelled to make pasta Alfredo with shrimp for the wifey last night (She wanted something other than traditional dishes for Easter dinner...).
