I co owned a company that managed 3 waterfront restaurants here in Ft. Myers. During that time I was the General Manager of one and Food and Beverage Director for all 3.

After the dissolve of the company, I became the Executive Chef and General Manager of one. Then, that single restaurant was sold and I became co owner and General Manager of the last.

I started my Culinary career as a server at O'Charley's on 2nd Ave. in Nashville over 30 years ago. I have an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, but I'm only proud of that because I finished it after dropping out because "I knew more than they did" when I was younger. The school of "hard knocks" has proven to be more educational.

Now, as "bamacheats " described it several years ago, I'm only here to impress the internet chicks. If you are actually "Tin Woman"...... in my best Joey Tribuanni (sp) impression.......How you doin?

Why not the turducken? Only option is a grill?

Have you ever prepared a turducken? My guess is no, or you wouldn't have asked about cooking it on a grill.

Yea, the Carmel pie was a staple, that and Prime rib Sunday and Monday $8.95. Forgot how to spell his last name but, Dave Watell, who owned O'Charley's before it went "public", owned a Yacht appropriately named Carmel Pie.

Back in the day, OChucks had the best fried cheese sticks ever. Pepper Jack served with marinara. And remember that nasty ass hot bacon salad dressings?

They did it right for a long time.

No expert, just know a little.

Because of being in the business, I like watching any movie on the subject. I don't know why but most of them suck. I hated Chef. I can always find something in those movies I can relate to, hardly anything in that one.

Best movies on the subject? IMO.

Julie and Julia. Interesting and based on two true stories. Amy Adams and Meryl Streep as Julia Child.

No Reservations. One of my favorite and best creations, I got from this movie. Cool story too. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aarron Ekhart and Abigail Breslin.

Have to include Ratatouille (sp). What a great movie. Yes, the cartoon.

Kitchen Confidential. Canceled series with Bradley Cooper. Excellent. I highly recommend that, even if you're not in to the whole cooking thing.

Culinary movie lesson over.

Listening to ESPN radio this morning and they are doing a piece on the Manning Family.

The guy was telling a story about how much Cooper and Peyton looked alike when Peyton was at Tennessee. He said Cooper used to go to all of the games. He was interviewing Archie, and Archie said one Friday night Cooper went to a bar/restaurant in Knoxville late and was having some whiskey, straight, and some fans went over to talk to him (thinking he was Peyton) and one said, why are you here, you have a game tomorrow, Cooper did a shot and said, meh, it's only Kentucky.

Haha, thought it was funny.

Shut up Wylo, had nothing to do with him and Florida. Just enjoy the story for what it is. Okay, Sunshine.

I am one of the few that put the Florida losses square on Fulmer. Too conservative. Poor gameday coaching. Even with the interceptions, Fulmer didn't help him out.

I hold ZERO ill will toward Peyton. Typically I'm not a player attacker. I stick to coaches.
