Most I've done is 9. Doesn't matter how fresh the eggs are, they peel perfectly. I can't believe they don't explode. lol
I used to put them in a pot of cold water, bring it to a boil for a minute, cover and turn off the heat for 15 minutes. Then dump em in ice water. Now I don't have to monitor anything, just set the time, lock the lid, and it beeps when they're done. Woot woot!I've heard of that being done for commercially sold hard boiled eggs, and those that use fresh eggs from thier own chickens, for the "easy peeling" purpose. To be honest, I never gave it a thought because of time issues. But, maybe I'll rethink it.
Hey, behr, quinoa.
Thoughts?
Behr I know you don't do a lot of baking, but I wonder if I could substitute the red velvet Oreos for the chocolate to make a cheesecake crust? I used the chocolate last time (have to scrape out the filling) but this one is for a family Christmas party, and the red crust would (I think) be really pretty with the cranberry swirl cheesecake.
Haven't opened them yet, but that's what I'll use to decide. Gonna do a dry run tomorrow night and see how it turns out. Thanks Behr!I'm not familiar with the Red velvet Oreos, but if the cookie rounds are soft, I would think that, and the cream wouldn't provide the kind of texture you would want. If they're crunchy, like the regular ones, I would scrape off the cream and try it.

Well, since it was a bammer, it had to be simple like Blueberry Crisp. You could probably find it in the frozen section at Wal-mart. If you live in Bama, I advise you to go check it out before January 9th.
