I don't think so. Maybe top 10 NFL prospect on the Vols roster but definitely not top 10 overall.

I was high on Malone's chances to go higher in the draft than most thought because I knew he would test well at the combine. And I think he can be a productive receiver in the NFL as a deep threat like Torrey Smith when he was on the Ravens. But I never said Malone would be a star in the NFL.

The only stars from our team I had coming out of the 2017 draft was Dobbs, Kamara, and Sutton.

The offensive line was exactly what I thought it'd be, average. Injuries is a systemic issue.

The offensive line was not average. It was one of the worst in the FBS and the worst in the SEC.

Did you even watch the games?

The offensive line was getting whipped right and left every single week. And it really didn't improve throughout the year as we thought. I went back and looked at some of the games again and Drew Richmond was still getting beat every play late in the year against Missouri. We just started to scheme around the weaknesses along the line by chipping defensive lineman with our RBs.

Honestly I would suggest going back over the games last year and just watching the offensive line. It was downright pathetic on nearly every snap.

The fact we scored a school record for points and touchdowns just shows how incredible Josh Dobbs and Alvin Kamara are.

I'm embarrassed FOR you when you say cringeworthy things like that.

Numbers only tell half the story. You think anybody cared about the video-game-like numbers Bray put up in 2012 (only 50 points shy of your heralded school record)? Nope. Dobbs never came close to matching his throwing stats and had an extra year to do it, but we'll remember Dobbs more.

Were you around in 2012 or will you need to YouTube it?

A terrible offensive line wouldn't of lead the team to the stats they had. Kelly averaged over 6 yards behind that offensive line. You really don't know a lick about football.

Because of Dobbs and the threat of him keeping the ball on the read option.

You really don't know anything about football if you can't realize Dobbs was the key to our entire run game. Without the threat of him keeping the ball on the read option and running it himself our run game wouldn't be half as effective as it was.

Everything in the offense the last 2 years revolved around Dobbs and his ability to run.

Dobbs led us to back to back 9 win seasons and 3 straight bowl wins. Something this program hasn't been able to do in over 10 years.

To compare his legacy to a guy like Bray who couldn't even win 6 games in 2012 is insulting. Just stop.

Film study? Do you have a film room installed in your house somewhere or is this just another one of your crazy predictions? Surely you don't think you're a pro at evaluating college kids.

You were stroking Coleman Thomas heading into 2016, and he was no worse last year than he was the year before. He was never really any good, but your "careful film study" produced an adulatory evaluation after 2015 that was totally at odds with reality.

Which is why we're back to the original debate, is he a good passer. As smart as Dobbs is, he played like a running back with an arm. If the Oline was so bad, it wouldn't of mattered if Dobbs was a threat because there would be a swarm upon him to the point where he couldn't run. The defense would also be able to Neutralize Dobbs much easier. Like it or not, we actually had a good run blocking line. Our pass blocking is a whole other discussion. Also, we wouldn't have an RB averaging 6 yards a carry if the line was awful. I've seen really good backs like Demarco Murray without an Oline, and it's not pretty.

Bottom line, if our Oline couldn't at least put a hat on a hat, there would be no running game.

In a year or two when Dobbs is an MVP caliber starting QB on a super bowl bound Steelers team while Bray has yet to take a meaningful snap in the pros you'll see how foolish this statement was.

While I agree with the brain part, Bray has much better arm strength than Dobbs. Bray was graded with "elite arm strength" at the NFL combines. Bray throws a rocket but is clearly not as mobile as Dobbs. Dobbs arm was reviewed as "adequate".
