It will probably go about like the Bowling Green game from last year where hundreds of posters declared they were turning in their season tickets and giving up football before halftime before we rolled them up in the second half.

Need to pad some wr's numbers in a game like this. Get a lead and bring in the backup and show a passing attack for next year. That's the only way we are going to sway the 5 stars to come here. They aren't coming to block for 4 years.

Tennessee 55
App State 10

Dobbs: 300 yards passing, 3 TDs
Hurd: 155 yards rushing, 2 TDs
Kamara: 125 yards rushing, 2 TDs

I don't disagree with these numbers. It should look something like this. A little lower for Dobbs, but Hurd and Kamara will easily break 100 in the first half if they stay in that long.

Hoping they don't have to play long enough to compile these stats.

I believe we could see those numbers in the first half.

I would hope a 4 or 5* recruit is smart enough to realize what's going on. They dream of racking up stats vs. Sun Belt teams! :loco:

I can't believe Miami is going to play in Boone. I would be embarrassed if we did that.

Probably cheaper than paying them a ton of cash to come to your house for one game. The small school instead gets the benefit of a brand school coming to their house and the revenue that comes with it to make up the difference in price. Plus the brand school gets to kick their teeth in one more time.

I'd imagine Miss. St. balls on a budget.

Received votes in the final AP(7) and coaches(9) polls last year. This is a team that most think will breeze through the sunbelt (as they should, it's the sunbelt), and be a 1 or 2 loss team at the end of this year. The only other tough game for them this season is Miami(Mark Richt's first season) which they play at home. I'm sure it's exciting for them to be able to host a name brand team like Miami.
I do think we end up beating them by 3 scores or more but I think they will put up a fight. I see them getting a freebie or two in the first half while we work out the kinks of the bob shoop defense. I'd say we outmatch them at every position but I'd like to know everyone's opinion of their team this year or what will happen in this matchup?

Volnation never underestimates an opponent

The Lamb boy from calhoun georgia is an athlete. BUT he has not been hit by the likes of Barnett, Vereen, Phillips, Mckenzie, Kirkland, Sapp, Taylor, well I could go on for ever. Even Jumper could get in a garbage time hit.

Pump the brakes on that Jumper nonsense. The guy is not D1 talent. He'll be in during the 2nd half.

If you don't give them a look at a guy that can spin it during these games then odds are they are not going to get to see it unless Dobbs goes down. Need to take every chance to work on the throw game.
